presentation of the 1200 Bonneville Bobber Gold Line 2022
The Bobber is certainly Triumph's most fiercely styled motorcycle. No need for wattage galore or sick equipment. Its hot-rod look, finished off with a sleek rear end, and above all its suspension seat, give it a spicy presence.
The Gold Line sauce makes the dish even spicier. For 2022, all Bonnevilles receive this special finish. A beautiful Carnival red complemented by a number of gold imprints. The "Bobber", "Gold Line" and "Triumph" logos, for example, are all colored in this spectacular yellow. The fuel tank is divided by a black stripe band, itself encircled by hand-painted gold piping. On the sides, it receives a brushed aluminum treatment to display knee protection zones. These, too, are adorned with elongated gilding to define their perimeter.
A touch of craftsmanship for added glamour. The painter who did the painting signs part of the motorcycle with his initials. Is it a work of art? We wouldn't go that far.... Above all, Triumph is keen to emphasize the authenticity and value of its Gold Line models.
We said ferocious in form; it's a different story for the engine. It's more about emotion and punch. It may be the least powerful (by a small margin) of the 1200s powering Bonnevilles, but this High Torque version is all about torque (up to 10.8 mkg).
Taking the bike and rider away in style will be done with 78 hp, two riding modes, ABS and traction control, beautiful spoked wheels, a 310 mm double disc brake with 2-piston calipers, a big 47 mm Showa fork, a super shock absorber tucked away under the seat, just 12 liters of fuel on board and a seat only 690 mm off the ground.
Classy , lively, selfish, the Triumph Bonneville 1200 Bobber Gold Line offers another level of seduction. An additional 800 euros is required from the standard Bobber. This version will not be limited in production, but will only be available for one year.
