presentation of the 765 Street Triple RS 2023
A new 765 RS arrives in March. But the old one, shown here, isn't planning to leave the field just yet. It's treating itself to a final bronze and black colorway for its latest vintage.
The mid-displacement roadster has almost reached its peak with the Street Triple RS. With its top-class handling, peppy engine, restrained size and hard-rocking face, Triumph is not afraid of anyone in its segment. However, even before it feels the threat, it refreshes its heart and body so that it is the threat. Put on the jacket, scratch the sliders, get the 3-cylinder's pulse racing - it's going to pulse.
Whether in the early morning mist or between the paddock aisles, the rustle of the 765 cm3 heralds good times ahead. As successor to the 675, it has become rounder, more watts, more efficient, and has lost some of its hysterical edge. Triumph knows what it can do with it. So there's no question of letting it rest on its laurels. It's also an opportunity to cultivate the image of Moto2, for which Triumph is an official supplier. It's a great opportunity to work together and get motivated for the series. With a few modifications, the distiller meets Euro5 regulations while preserving its energy.
Better still, it improves it. Power is preserved at 123 hp at the same 11,750 rpm, while torque improves by 2 Nm to reach a peak of 79 Nm / 8.1 mkg. Both benefit from a 9% increase in their mid-range values.
How do you get these vitamins? With an optimized exhaust cam profile, more precise machining of the cylinder, clutch and balancer shaft, a new intake duct, modified manifolds and a revised gas expulsion circuit. By the way, check out the carbon finish on the silencer. It doesn't make any difference to performance or sound, but it's a sign of the manufacturer's commitment to quality.
The Street's superior potential is evident from the very first few meters. The Street takes the opportunity to revise its gearbox. The first two gears are shorter, for better access. There's also an anti-dribble clutch and a shifter. The latter has been upgraded and now also acts on downshifting.
Staying with the engine, inertia has been reduced by 7%, boosting the responsiveness of this engaging and efficient machine. The more it growls down there, the more it wants to get things moving. Especially since this roadster is the lightest in its class. at just 166 kilos, it's barely more than a 650 Dirt Track - and barely less than a Z 400.

If you can't see it, you'll feel it: the seat height has been increased by 15 mm. This will make it a little less accessible, but legs will be a little less bent when riding.
To live up to the RS name, the machine needs a top-notch chassis. Having achieved superb balance and formidable efficiency, the Street's frame has been preserved since the previous version. The Daytona-derived frame, combined with an inverted Showa fork with large 41 mm pistons, will have to be pushed to the limits of its sporty prerogatives. The Öhlins STX40 shock absorber guarantees first-rate performance. Each suspension element is fully adjustable.
The tyre rubbers are designed to match the ambient sportiness. Nothing less than Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V3. Finally, when it comes to brakes, Triumph is not kidding around, with some nice stuff from Brembo. An MCS master cylinder with 19- or 21-ratio adjustment and offset brake-shift adjustment, pushing fluid to the M50 radial-mount 4-piston calipers. When these clamps bite into the 310 mm discs, it's going to be a calming experience for the forearms. If you're looking for something better, look no further than a hypersport, especially an Italian one.

Following in the footsteps of the "new generation" 1200 Scrambler and Rocket 3, the bubbly roadster now has the option of controlling a smartphone or GoPro via Bluetooth. Well, it's not enough just to ride... you have to show everyone ;-). The TFT instrument panel is enhanced by this pre-installation, as well as by improved graphics. The RS display is available in four different styles and colors. What's more, it can be tilted for improved legibility. A bad angle to the eye, or reflections from the sun, are sometimes not great for judging speed. Of what?
By the way, if you're worried about certain parameters, don't bother with the blinkers: they stop by themselves once they've done their job.
The marketing department keeps a close eye on design. As a result, the Street Triple RS is accompanied by a fine palette of some 60 accessories for customizing the bike - including a sport exhaust system, multiple protective covers, laser-engraved valve caps, and a host of other trinkets.
The new 765 Street Triple RS is ready to take on the third decade with track-injected eyes. A little better in strategic places, a little more nervous in its personality, the lady invites you more than ever to sniff out the slider that melts under the attack.
