the DTR breaks away from its usual terrain to take on the city with a Supermotard outfit. The method is simple and effective, with 17" wheels fitted with good tires and a large front brake disc. The single-motor remains the 125 2-stroke already fitted to the DTR, developing 15 hp. Despite the clutch, the mill remains efficient and allows you to exceed 130 rpm. Of course, as with all hole-in-the-wall engines, you can expect substantial fuel consumption. The 6-liter limit is not a scary one, especially as the final gear is a little too long, making it easy to overdo the intermediates. Well-sprung and quite comfortable, the DTX is a pleasure to ride on small, winding roads. It's equally at home in town. Weighing just over 130 kg, the Yam is as comfortable in town as its rider. You can count on the front brake to calm the machine; the rear disc, on the other hand, has little to offer. We won't dwell on the minimalist dashboard, which is as sober as they come.
This 125 may give the DTR a facelift, but its appetite is likely to be detrimental, especially as the bike isn't particularly cheap. What's left is a tried-and-tested powertrain and a look that's sure to please.

Hi guys, nobody talks about the maintenance, see change of rings every 12000kms (200,00€ approximately) and piston every 24000kms, if well oiled and well maintained. It means that when you buy your bike at 10000kms, the first worries do not drag. Otherwise the bike is nice, but expensive in maintenance for a 125. Come on we do not discourage and good Drink.

i've had a DTX for a month now and I'm very happy with it. It works great on small roads full of bends, and the cagiva and rs can get away with it
it's a bit expensive but well worth it

This bike is a real marvel. I hesitated between the dtx and the dtr, but I don't regret my choice in any way. Even with a bridle, it works very well, but when you unbridle it and change the exhaust line, it's nothing like it (I tried a friend's bike). Rating : 5/5

It does crazy things
If you just cut the little wire that goes well and remove that anvil from the original pot, you'll have a bomb in your hands

In April 2005, I opted for an XTX, which I quickly regretted: no fun whatsoever!!! I got it to work properly, and I put the difference for a DT without any regrets, unbridled, with a low-boy ninja line... and now it's panard! salut a tous , moi j'ai le permis depuis le 22/11/2004 et je me suis rabatu sur le dtx au mois d'avril et franchement je ne regrette pas mon choix du tt niveaux finition elle est sympa et niveaux moteur ( sa tourne bien) juste un petit truc ma boite est un peu violent moteur froid mais bon si on la laisse chauffer sa ne le faire plus

Happy owner of a DTX, I find it fine on small country roads, but as soon as you have to race with a super-city or an RS, 22hp is not much!!! but if there is another DT, it's a matter of riding!!! To say that I was at the open door it was 3800 euros the dt125x

Salut a tous.je suis entrain de passer mon permis 125 et jcompte acheter cette moto.je suis renseign,.elle fait 22ch une fois débridé.il y a une bride au moteur et une au pot.Yam débride mais normalement depuis janvier ils n'ont plus le droit je dis bien NORMALEMENT.Sinon niveau de puissance de moteur c'est ce qui fait de mieux au raport qualité prix.Voila big up a tous les motards. I don't know what the xtx is worth, as it's coming out in January/February 2005, but it's a 4-stroke, so it won't perform as well as the dtx (2-stroke). On the other hand, it will consume less. From a maintenance and reliability point of view, 4-strokes are supposed to be better, but the DTX engine has been tried and tested (for as long as it's been around) and is reputed to be a good compromise between performance and price...
