presentation of the DTR 125 1991

the DTR is a direct descendant of the illustrious DTMX, France's most successful motorcycle. This trail bike is equally at home in town or on rocky terrain. Road imperfections are erased with ease, thanks to the machine's generous travel. It's easy to get to grips with, and a high-performance machine that's easy to ride. In its free-running version, the Yam trail bike develops around 22 hp, although the throttle somewhat dampens the mood of the single, which remains conciliatory in fulfilling its role. An all-round performer whose only real drawback is its hefty price tag for a bike of this age.

The best 125 cm3 bike there is. Of course, it's a bit limited here and there, but if you put it on full throttle, it's a lot of fun. Rating : 5/5

to the challenge of having a modern 125 cm3 4T trail bike with the same weight/power ratio today... 125 cm 3 bikes now weigh an average of 130 kg for less hp, look for the error, progress... Rating : 5/5

i own a 125 dtr 2000 5000 kms i acquired it in june 2015 it had 3800 kms like new moreover it is new good model kick start nervous and good point of speed Rating : 4/5
Powerful motorcycle, but I'd like to see an automatic ignition, a reduction in fuel consumption per 100km, and finally a reduction in the price of the various original parts for a very high consumption machine. Rating : 5/5

French Philou Model 1997
Very good bike, as comfortable in town as in the country, easy to handle, fairly responsive engine with good acceleration
however, some consumable parts are quite expensive, as the bike is no longer manufactured. I own a Yam 125 dtr from 1989, with a restored engine.
Rating : 4/5
mine dates from 2003, very good bike...responsive (yes, it's a 2-stroke...), already a real size for a 125, great look (I'm an enduro rider); I regret a lack of reliability due to a clogged engine (100% Paris, never peak and yes, it's a 2-stroke...)
That said, this kind of bike makes you want to go for the big cube (which is what I'm doing)

French stan Model 2005
voila I have a 2006 dt, I just changed the pot and so the speed is ok the torque is ok but the front fork is really too soft as soon as you're on sand or soft ground it feels like the bike is going to lay down as "GinG GinG" says it's really a fault as I almost only ride enduro. In fact, even the rear suspension is soft, but I'd like to know if the fact that the fork is so soft is due to the oil (which I changed for 15), the spring or the fact that the suspension isn't inverted. Apart from that, it's a really good bike for beginners, but I'm thinking of switching to a YZ or EXC soon Rating : 5/5

But if you find car valve springs breaking, put them at the end of the fork instead of the steel ones and use much thicker oils. You'll see that your fork will be much better Rating : 5/5
French nouflette Model 2005
i own the latest 125, without doubt the best bike in its categorygood size, perfect handling lacks a bit of top speed but a bit of repproach the kick misses a lot the rev counter and the fork head is too small it looks like a 50
this is the 4th 125 I've owned, and it's all a yam salut nouflette

Rating : 5/5
undoubtedly the best bike in the 125 class. looks great handling extra lacks a bit of top speed but there are 2 big gaps the kick and especially the rev counter and the fork head too small it looks like a 50. i bought the 3 previous versions and i regret a bit the 2003 version Rating : 5/5
French strabman Model 2005
A great bike, mine's from 2005 and it's awesome! Perfect for going to high school and enduro riding at weekends. To be enjoyed without moderation! Rating : 5/5
French Grom Model 2005
As the owner of a DT 1998 model, I find it a good machine for the city (Paris), and also for longer trips (300/400 km max). But it's true that the front fork is a bit soft from the start. Personally, I've made the basic engine modifications: YPVS adjustment, pot + airbox mods. and I block my speedometer at 140 on the flat, so passing trucks is fine! My final opinion is that it's a good bike for beginners. Rating : 5/5
French vivtonight Model 2005
Supermachine!
not much to complain about, except that the front brakes lack bite and power. Personally, I solved the problem by fitting my DT with a Brembo braking kit. In terms of top speed, my machine dates back to July 20001, and I reach 135Km/h (odometer) undisridden. I admit, like "Ging Ging", that the front fork is a little too soft, but this isn't necessarily a drawback, since you can send hard braking without going over the top of the bike (although it does pose a problem for stunt riding, especially stoppies)
But all in all, it's a good machine
Best wishes to all bikers, and happy riding
(P.S: I'm 18)

French ptival Model 2005
Well, I've been riding it for about 2 years now (I'm 16), my father hasn't used it for quite a few years, and when I got it, it had 1800km on the clock. Well, I don't have a license and I shouldn't be riding it, but it's a great bike for a weekend in the woods. It's true that the front fork lacks hardness and the braking leaves a bit to be desired, especially for the front. And with good tires, a good chain kit, a modified YVPS, new valves and a complete pot, there's nothing more to say, even for enduro riding, and yeah, I swear =), bye ;) Rating : 5/5

French GinG GinG Model 2005
i'm the proud owner of a Yamaha DT (thanks dad!!!mdr)I've had my big cube license since feb.it's a new model bought in 2001.i've had the opportunity to ride this bike quite a bit, as i've done enduro before riding on the road.i'd like to know if it's my bike, or if all DTs suffer from a blurred front end!!!! In enduro, as soon as you take a bend, you get the impression that the front end is going to lie down, and I find that very annoying! G a friend who's been riding since he was 5, he's got a kdx. he's tried my bike twice, and he got the same impression, C BIZZARE... I'm going to continue to ride my bike downhill, criticizing the fork, which is, really, too soft. as soon as you scratch the lever, the bike settles, and that's pretty annoying! "He's really criticizing his bike," some people must be thinking! Well, yes, but you've got to be cruel to be kind! Once you're used to it, you can still enjoy it, as proven by the fact that G reaches the end of the (original) tires, so you can attack a little, but it soon admits its limits (the brakes aren't gégé...another little layer!) The DT is more of a bike for getting from point A to point B without any problems. As far as travel is concerned, this summer I did Lyon-Marseille, and Lyon-Orléan, and it did very well, although my cruising speed was 120km/h, so it lacked power for certain overtaking maneuvers, once 110km/h had been reached (well, I grant you, normally you drive at 90 on departmental roads, but hey...).apart from that, I ride the DT to school every day, and it's just right for the city. It's a trail, so it's easy to handle, and the power is more than enough for this environment, where cars go right and left as they please, without a care in the world around them... For those who want to do more enduro than road riding, prefer a kdx, otherwise, for city dwellers, it'll do just fine. Rating : 5/5
French the tarmo Model 2005
a superb, torquey and slightly powerful burner. g u a problem with the servomotor that controls the exhaust valve, and it seriously penalizes me at low revs. Rating : 5/5
