presentation of the YZ 450 F 50eme anniversaire 2024
Yamaha unveiled its first production motocross machines 50 years ago. And over that half-century, YZ models have stood out for their competitiveness and innovation in every category. The YZ 450 F 50th Anniversary celebrates this important chapter in YZ history, and commemorates Yamaha's first motocross world championship title.
Featuring an exclusive historical color scheme inspired by the 1990s, this 50th Anniversary Edition offers riders the chance to become owners of a highly recognizable machine. The white trim is adorned with purple/pink motifs, while the purple saddle and black rims complete the picture to create a uniquely stylish anniversary model.
For 2023, Yamaha has focused on developing an all-new variation of the YZ450F, a machine that is now lighter, faster and easier to ride, designed to live up to its prestigious heritage.
Equipped with a lighter, more powerful engine, a reworked chassis and revised ergonomic trim, the YZ 450 F represents a major step forward for the flagship model in Yamaha's cross-country range. On any motorcycle, rider and machine must work in harmony to achieve optimum performance. This is particularly true of a cross-country model, where a constant shift of body weight is required during acceleration, braking and cornering. For an off-road racing machine to be perfect, it must represent an extension of the rider's body and mind. That's why the development team for the big cross-country machine focused primarily on the rider's needs and expectations.
Rider-centric design Rather than introducing ever more complex new technologies, the designers followed a rider-centric approach, evaluating the potential benefits that any new feature could offer to everyone, whatever their skill level. The result? A highly competitive cross-country bike that's fast and enjoyable on all types of track, whether the rider is an experienced professional or an occasional amateur. With a 5% increase in power and weighing just 109 kg with a full fuel tank, this new model confirms Yamaha's position at the top of the discipline.
