At the pinnacle of Yamaha's 2-stroke cross-country range, the YZ 250 is also decked out in "50th anniversary" deco to celebrate half a century of YZ presence. With its 1990s-inspired Anniversary White trim, purple/pink motifs, purple saddle and black rims, it pays tribute to all previous vintages, especially those of the 90s.

With this "Anniversary White" color, this motocross wasp shows a funnier, much more playful side than Yam's ubiquitous dark blue. Some will feel a taste of "beach-sunrise-Floride-style" or a new pride with this special color.

There are no special parts, technical enhancements or extras for this "Monster": engine and chassis are strictly identical to the standard model. The latter, incidentally, received a major update in 2022. Yamaha has refined the bodywork, installed a flatter seat, improved braking with a new, more efficient front caliper and a lighter rear disc, recalibrated the suspension and shifted a little weight thanks to a new ring gear and a different clutch lever.
