new features and a series of improvements make this dynamic motorcycle even more enjoyable. Showa suspension keeps the bike balanced, whether you're at the top of the hill, navigating unstable terrain or cruising along your favorite stretch of road. The improved suspension perfectly complements wheels fitted with Pirelli Scorpion MT-90 tires for better traction on all types of ground, from smooth pavements to dirt roads.
bosch's advanced anti-lock braking system (ABS) enhances safety in many conditions, ensuring the best performance from the new hydraulic gears. ABS can, of course, be deactivated when the adventure continues off-road. Riders will notice the elegant rear-view mirrors, which offer excellent visibility to the rear and reduce the width of the bike. The comfortable new grips are made from a softer rubber compound. The more robust throttle continuously controls the Z-Force® motor's 95 Nm of torque.
z-Force® battery technology
the Zero FX features a fully modular power pack system. With slots for two power packs, you can operate the Zero FX with one or two packs. Modules can be recharged on the bike or anywhere else, thanks to optional accessories. This means you can recharge the battery without the need for a public outlet.
The Zero FX can be purchased with one module (ZF2.8) or two modules (ZF5.7).
z-Force® motor - 95 Nm of torque
the Zero FX's engine is configured to produce incredible torque and is placed inside the lightest bike in the range. The result is exhilarating acceleration. Zero Motorcycles designed the Z-Force® engine from the ground up to be compact, efficient and powerful. Fully air-cooled, the engine is designed to deliver a fantastic riding experience with no regular maintenance required. When you slow down, the motor generates electricity which is fed back into the power pack to extend driving time.
recharge anywhere / on any standard socket
the Zero FX's recharging system is integrated into the motorcycle and can be plugged into any standard socket. No additional equipment is required for standard charging. This means you can comfortably recharge your bike in your garage, at the office or when you stop off at one of your favorite spots on a motorcycle outing.
the Zero FX's power pack modules can be removed from the motorcycle and recharged separately using optional accessories. This means you can recharge the modules wherever you are. A public outlet is no longer necessary. Recharging times can be reduced by ~75% thanks to an expandable external recharging system*

chassis and body - Lightweight, aircraft-grade aluminum
the core element of the Zero FX is Zero's best-in-class motocross chassis made entirely from aircraft-grade aluminum. The resulting combination of light weight and great strength offers enhanced responsiveness. In the corners and off the straights, this translates into better acceleration. For longer life, each chassis is shot-blasted and anodized.
showa suspension
zero Motorcycles worked closely with Showa to develop the suspension systems. These handle small bumps perfectly, control larger impacts predictably and smooth out the action in all conditions. The rigid torsion of the front end offers improved handling, while the hollow front axle reduces unsprung weight. Suspension settings are fully customizable to meet the requirements of most riders.
bosch anti-lock braking system (ABS)
the Zero FX is equipped with Bosch's advanced anti-lock braking system (ABS), which improves control in a wide range of conditions and ensures the best braking performance.
tires and wheels - for asphalt roads. Muddy roads. Off-road.
the Zero FX is fitted as standard with Pirelli tires that provide better traction in a wide range of conditions, excellent durability and excellent road feel. The Zero FX's alloy wheels are designed to reduce unsprung weight without altering drag.
clutchless drive
featuring clutchless direct drive, the Zero FX is designed for rapid acceleration and maximum efficiency. Without ever having to change gear, the Zero FX delivers controlled, powerful acceleration at any speed from 0 to 137 km/h. The carbon-fiber belt eliminates minimal friction losses and increases overall range. It also makes the drive train maintenance-free.
dashboard and controls
zero's dashboard has been designed to quickly provide useful and accurate information such as charge level, power output and selected riding profile. You can juggle the three driving modes using the ergonomic switch on the right to better determine your driving needs: sport, eco, custom. The dashboard display is a blue backlit LCD screen. zero Motorcycles applications
with the Zero Motorcycles app, you have access to detailed information about your motorcycle, such as remaining recharge time, average watts per kilometer, total recharge cycles and much more. When you're stationary, the app lets you set the performance profile of the customized riding mode, adjusting parameters for maximum speed, maximum torque and maximum regenerative braking. When you're riding your bike, your cell phone transforms into a personalized dashboard that gives you real-time, detailed information about your bike. Synchronized with Bluetooth, the app works on iPhone and Android-based mobile devices. The app is available in English, German, French, Spanish and Dutch.
