presentation of the RSV4-R 1000 APRC 2011

in creating the RSV4, Aprilia quite simply launched one of the most formidable sports bikes ever conceived. A very compact size, a chassis as precise as a laser cutter, a powerful 180 hp V4, raging, intoxicating, that blows Superbike right out of the quiche.
Aprilia is having a field day with the technology transfer between competition and production. And the dagger that now accompanies this sword is theAPRC. An electronic assistance package combining traction control, anti-wheeling, a shifter and a stop-start optimizer.

not so long ago reserved (and introduced) by the Factory APRC SE special series, these add-ons are now available for Factory and R versions. The affordable sports car from Noale therefore also benefits from these digital co-pilots. But that's not all. The RSV4-R '+' also benefits from lighter rims, a revised Sachs fork, a more aesthetically pleasing and lightened bodywork, and a new, more compact chassis.the new RSV4-R '+' features lighter rims, a revised Sachs fork, a lighter, more aesthetic chassis, a tighter gear ratio with the first 3 gears shortened, 2 kg less weight and lower fuel consumption. For more information on the APRC, see a paragraph below...

Aprilia RSV4-R 1000 APRC 2011 aprilia Performance Ride Controlconsists of 4 modules:

- aTC : traction control, adjustable to 8 positions, manages torque and optimizes traction. The RSV4's system is so advanced that it can be taught to act according to the tire used. The bike will react differently depending on the rubber you put on its shoes.
- aWC : anti-wheeling. Also adjustable, it allows you to make the most of the available acceleration without wasting energy on antics.
- aLC : start-up assistance for rocket-like take-offs. You put the throttle wide open, and when you're at the top, all you have to do is release the clutch and the bike will manage the optimum acceleration all by itself. Here too, there are 3 possible settings.
- aQS : Aprilia's shifter, which lets you shift gears with a flick of the boot, without releasing the right-hand grip or intervening on the clutch.
