presentation of the RSV-R 1000 Factory 2006
A few more horses in 2006 for the top-of-the-range RSV-R. It benefits from the same engine upgrades as the standard R, namely new electronic management, new exhaust valves and 5 extra hp. As ever, the only difference is in the chassis, with refinements such as carbon parts.
Fully suspended by Öhlins Racing components, the RSV-R Factory also features a twin-chamber steering damper from the same brand. The frame is painted a light golden color, as if to ensure continuity of color from one end of the rims to the other. These are forged aluminum wheels, 25% stronger and lighter than cast aluminum models. Down to 185 kg dry weight, the latest-generation RSV-R now weighs the same as the ultra-top-of-the-range version of a few years ago: the RSV 1000 SP (a jewel reserved for Superbikes). Not to mention the luxury of a price almost €2,000 lower than the 2005 version.
Here are the RSV-R Factory's exclusive components:

- dual-chamber Öhlins steering damper
- carbon front mudguards
- carbon rear mudguard
- carbon air vents
- carbon fork-head deflectors
- carbon tank bottom side covers
- aluminum front forged wheel
- aluminum rear forged wheel
- pirelli SuperCorsa pro 120/70 - 190/55 tires
