presentation of the RSV 1000 SP 2000
Those who haven't satisfied their hunger for the RSV-R can look forward to the SP version. Produced in a limited edition of 150, this is quite simply the Superbike version, for track use only.
For this purpose, the column angle is adjustable, as are the engine and swingarm mounting points. Nothing is too good for it: dual titanium racing exhausts, top-quality damping, lightweight materials and a supercharged engine. The twin, developed in partnership with Cosworth, spits out nearly 150 horsepower, and torque jumps by almost 10%. Piston stroke has been shortened and bore increased, while the compression ratio has been revised upwards. Larger valves, redesigned cylinder heads and intake ducts. All that's left to do is fit the racing kit, and we're ready to take on Laconi and Haga. Carbon is everywhere, and weight is down to 185 kg. All that's missing from this competition bike is a champion's hand.
