Aston Martin beautifully embodies British automotive craftsmanship, British motorsports, and a refinement that is both noble and primal. These qualities and spirit have been successfully translated to two wheels thanks to Brough Superior. The Gaydon-based brand partnered with the Toulouse-based company to develop the AMB 001 and AMB 001 Pro, exclusive track-only sports bikes.
Today, Aston Martin wants to bring its passion to the road, and theAMB 002 Roadster is tasked with embodying its spirit, its emotion, and its uniqueness.

Another child of Giger

Is it a roadster? A café racer? A sports bike? A sculpture? An Avenger? Perhaps all of these at once. First and foremost, it is the first Aston Martin motorcycle approved for road use. Beyond that, it is a sculpture that transcends the boundaries of fantasy. The design draws inspiration from no other motorcycle except for the most extreme creations of certain eccentric artisans (Vyrus, Lotus, etc.). It surprises, baffles, may unsettle, will captivate, displease, and/or transcend… And it will irrevocably astound enthusiasts, skeptics, the wily, and mechanical cherubs from all walks of life alike. Its upper profile effectively transports us aboard the Nostromo, where the 8th passenger seems to have spawned its own moto-organic offspring. Unnerving and sublime or violent and hypnotic—it’s up to you to decide, without Hicks’s help.

That bodywork…. This showcase of style is made entirely of carbon fiber. Although the immense air intakes (worthy of a basking shark, Cetorhinus) dramatically enhance the design’s dynamics, they don’t reveal enough of the engine. Still, it’s a superb piece that deserves admiration.
Aston Martin and Brough Superior have paid meticulous attention to every detail, some of which draw parallels with their cars. Such as the ribbed exhaust tips, similar to those on the DB 12 S, DBX S, and Vanquish. The taillights draw inspiration from the Vulcan, Valkyrie, and Valhalla hypercars.

Brough has fitted new wheels, the inner surfaces of which create a honeycomb effect. These two beautiful components add to this collection of top-of-the-line elements. The leather upholstery, the backlit keyless start button, the brake and clutch controls integrated into the handlebars, the machined parts, the titanium frame weighing just 5 kg, and a brand-new circular TFT speedometer recessed into the fairing.

Thierry Henriette’s workshop is taking advantage of this spectacular roadster to install its new engine—a more powerful and, above all, larger version of the 88° twin. By increasing the bore by 4 mm, the displacement rises from 997 cm³ to 1,083 cm³. This CNC-machined all-aluminum engine block will thus deliver far more power than other Brough machines. Those are rated at 100 ch, while the AMB 002 Roadster boasts 130 bourrins.

That’s less thanthe Aston Martin AMB 001 ( and let’s not even mention the even more aggressive Pro version ), but it was designed to unleash its power only between speed bumps and on private property. The AMB 002 Roadster will be able to showcase its exceptional qualities just as well in front of outdoor cafes as it will at a trade show. With this engine, it lets the 001’s excess power take a back seat so it can focus on greater responsiveness and riding pleasure at low and mid-range revs.

This 190 kg motorcycle benefits from a perfectly balanced 50/50 weight distribution. Like all machines coming out of Brough, its front end features a Fior-type double-wishbone suspension, revised for this model. Like BMW’s Duolever systems and the front suspension on the latest-generation Gold Wing, this design decouples steering and braking forces, resulting in greater precision and stability—especially during braking.

You’d have to wash the road for her

A child of luxury and bordering on excess, the Aston Martin AMB 002 Roadster isn’t here to please or seduce; it transcends that. Criticizing its price, judging its silhouette, or trying to understand it means you’re missing the point. Well, okay, with a price tag roughly equivalent to that of three Panigale V4 Rs (estimate), you have to belong to a certain social class to afford both this motorcycle and the mindset it embodies. A sign of a certain aristocratic affluence, it will be produced in far greater numbers than Aston’s other motorcycles: 300 units, with deliveries beginning in the third quarter of 2027. The 001 was limited to 100 units, and the Pro variant was even more limited, with 88 units.
