presentation of the 899 Tre-K 2009
opening up to a wider clientele is often synonymous with greater accessibility. Benelli understands this well: after having launched an 899 version of its TnT roadster, the small manufacturer is back with a smaller-displacement clone of its sporty trail bike. Still 3 cylinders, but 9 cubic deciliters for the new Tre-K 899.
size, dimensions and design are all the same. The 899 takes over the 1130 's chassis and appearance. Apart from the displacement sticker, the differences are limited to a few details. Frame and swingarm painted in discreet black instead of bright ripe red, removal of the small engine cowling, a simpler dashboard, and a few missing horses. The little Tre-k announces about 10 hp less and a few pounds less. This will make the three-wheeler less impressive, but also more inclined to be affordable. The big 1130 has quite a character and is quick to quell your enthusiasm with its big potato. Its smaller size should make you sweat less. That said, you certainly shouldn't get bored with this engine. There's still 115bhp under the right hand, suppleness and the playful gniak of the Benelli boiler.
a little less flattering than its big brother, the Tre-k 899 still boasts a beautiful tubular trellis frame and swingarm, an inverted fork and a Marzocchi brake system.e Marzocchi inverted fork with 4-piston Brembo brakes per caliper, an aggressive front end that stands out from the crowd, and plenty of punch, all for a price of under 10,000 euros. All of which makes you think more seriously about the idea of riding a trail bike like no other.

Otherwise, it's a superb bike, with an excellent chassis, and it's easy to ride, with no assistance or abs!
It knocks a bit, but much less than an MT-09 in A, and having tried it, I didn't even look back, even with 50Kg more weight... Rating : 5/5 Respond to Escargot
