Motorcycle specifications BMW 1200 R 12 G/S Trophy Competition Bike 2026 The GS at Its Best
presentation of the 1200 R 12 G/S Trophy Competition Bike 2026
When the 2026 BMW Motorrad International GS Trophy returns to Europe in late summer 2026, the national teams will discover Romania’s spectacular natural landscapes, rugged terrain, and deeply rooted culture. The incredible diversity of the landscapes lends itself perfectly to authentic off-road adventures, traversing mountains, forests, rivers, and villages where time seems to have stood still. Teams will navigate an environment that demands riding skill and precision, at the controls of the ultimate machine: the R 12 G/S GS Trophy Competition Bike.
Designed exclusively for this competition, which has been held since 2008, the GS Trophy Competition Bike is based on the R 12 G/S and features specialized equipment that makes it ready for any off-road adventure.
The equipment on this special R 12 G/S includes, notably, the Comfort Package, featuring Hill Start Control, the Pro Shifter (Gear Shift Assist Pro), heated grips, and cruise control. Added to this are the Headlight Pro system (adaptive cornering lights), Pro riding modes, and the Enduro Pro package, which includes off-road tires, an 18-inch rear wheel, and handlebar risers. Engine guards, cylinder head covers, a rally-style windscreen, navigation pre-installation, an Akrapovic muffler, and a 5-liter tank bag (used here as a rear bag) round out the extensive equipment list of the R 12 G/S GS Trophy Competition Bike.
With just a few minor adjustments, the GS Trophy Competition Bike can be built based on the standard R 12 G/S.
Although this competition machine is not sold in this exact form, it is possible to replicate it based on the BMW R 12 G/S, with only minor differences, such as the decorative markings.

The base color is solid white (Lightwhite), while the blue stripes on the fuel tank and the red seat embody the DNA of BMW Motorrad Motorsport, clearly affirming its off-road sporting pedigree—just as the teams will experience in the wild landscapes of Romania.
