presentation of the K 1300 S 30eme anniversaire 2013

special 30th anniversary edition for the K 1300 S. What am I thinking? This bike hasn't got three decades on its wheels... But under this red, black and white dress, it's not the K 1300 S that's being celebrated, but the K engine. For it was in 1983 that the first 4-cylinder BMW was launched on the market: the K 100. Unlike most of the world's production, where the engine faces the road, the Bavarian 987 cm3 90 hp engine is positioned longitudinally. Today, a 4-legged BMW produces 193 hp (and more) on an S 1000 RR.

the 1300's K isn't the RR's sporty monster - it's a 175-hp 1293 cm3, more roadworthy. But let's get back to the special features of this "30 Jahre K-modelle" edition. Aside from the decor, the German sport-GT is equipped with a smoked bubble, ESA II electronic damping, RDC tire-pressure control, and a new, more powerful, engine.pressure control, HP footpegs, Akrapovic exhaust, heated grips, on-board computer, shifter and ASC stability control.

Superbe moto
Former owner of a K1200RS, I fell in love with the K1300S 30th Anniversary, attracted by its unusual dress for a German, superb engine and very well equipped for the road and the duo, a superb AKRA muffled noise... a small blip of the vibration noise of the fairing in deceleration for the rest RAS The best. Rating : 5/5

I have a 2010 K 1300s, which is a very good machine, very powerful and well balanced.
But unfortunately it has a few flaws:
Cardan shaft vibration (rough transmission).
Noise of scrap metal on the engine brake. For this price and for the BMW brand. C\'est dommage.
At BM. They don't know.... surprising no...!
Maybe go back to a Japanese ....?

i have a 2011 model (the blue one). With it, I've already crisscrossed Europe without the slightest problem. No vibrations and no surprises... A si!! it's as comfortable as my old k1200rs. I often ride as a duo and with luggage. With my wife, we do stages of 700 kilometers/day... my k13 has 24000km since May 2011. You can buy with confidence it's a good bike, hardly more expensive than a Japanese one. deutch quality... Hi all... Rating : 5/5
