presentation of the K75S 1987

The first model in the K75 series was released in 1985. The range was extended the following year with an aesthetically sportier version: the K75S.

The K75's engine is derived from the famous K100, a 1000 cc in-line longitudinal flat-4 to which the designers removed one cylinder.

The engine is therefore a 3-cylinder, 740 cc, developing 75 hp, and demonstrating great flexibility and good will. A balancing countershaft neutralizes much of the vibration, making the 3-cylinder discreet and civilized.

Technically, the S version is no sports car. It differs from the basic K75 only in its fairing head, an engine block and a rear brake with a 285 mm single-piston caliper disc, replacing the large double-cam drum of the base model.

The machine's handling remains similar to that of the K75, with a few little extras, such as better protection, a 10 km/h increase in top speed and slightly lower fuel consumption.

The K75S will not undergo any major modifications throughout its career, and will be remembered as a very good tourer, puncture-proof and affordable.

Thank you, as the dealer no longer supplies and 1001 piles seems incompetent JNM Rating : 5/5

Totally agree about the style, it's square and brutal. If not, I'm thinking of getting one - I drive a 2008 cbf 1000 - great machine. But maybe I can get another one, like a caprice. For the afficionados, is it the same type of driving, knowing that it's a utility vehicle as I do inter-city journeys, or is it more like cruising? I've got a bit of an opinion on that, but I await your comments. Best regards Rating : 5/5
French L'ours Model 1986
I agree with the two previous reviews and, with a friend, we're going to save one that was destined for the same end! Fortunately, the very recent owner realized that he would eventually no longer be allowed to drive it, maybe as early as next year, and for sure in the years to come (well, there will be a part!).Youppie! Can't wait to get the beast back. Rating : 3/5
French Flylysle Model 1989
I ride this bike every day, and I think it's great in terms of flexibility, protection and comfort. As for the look, well, that's a matter of taste, but I think it's timeless and I certainly wouldn't want it to be "caferized" or "boberized"! I call it "bousiller" because what I see on the internet, with a few rare exceptions, makes me want to cry. So if there's only one original K75S left, it'll be mine. Rating : 4/5

That's a great bike.
And I completely agree with you.... So there'll be 3 left! Yours....mine bought in 1986 and her little sister that I have "suvé\" from such an end this summer and that I have just passed in collection....
bonne route a toi et aux autres...
