Naked

If you're interested in an F 900 R, you're looking for a serious, efficient roadster with a bit of fun, but not too much either. The playful, spirited, wild side of an MT-09 or Street Triple is not in its specification. Yet there's a squadron of 300 of these machines ready to show off their outrageous temperament. These are the F 900 R Force. A special series unveiled by BMW France at the Lyon 2-wheel show.

We read somewhere that this 900 draws its styling inspiration from aviation. Well, it's not exactly Top Gun, but let's face it, the fluorescent yellow stickers on the San Marino Blue dress are not lacking in a certain cheekiness. Decoration is an important part of this edition, with yellow edging on the rims, an engine cowling in the same tone, a minimalist bubble and a specific seat cover.
But that's not all.

The Pro (Up&Down) shifter is standard on this F 900 R Force. An edition specially designed for young licence holders. A little in terms of decoration, a lot more in terms of engine technology. Indeed, the entire flotilla will be sold as A2 versions, and only then. Thereafter, it will of course be possible to upgrade to the unbridled version for those who have completed their probationary period.
The engine configuration is thus reduced to 47.5 bhp at 6,500 rpm and 6.8 mkg at 4,500 rpm. With 2 years' driving experience under your belt, you'll be able to get up to 95 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 9 mkg at 6,750 rpm. 162 km/h on one side; just over 200 on the other. What else would you get with an F 900 R, neither Force nor A2? 105 hp at 8500 rpm and 9.4 mkg at 6500 rpm on the full-power version.

But there's more to the F 900 R Force than these figures and its styling. Above all, it's Béhème's mid-range roadster, with an 895 cm3 parallel twin, steel body, aluminum swingarm, 6.5" TFT screen, smartphone connection, two riding modes, traction control, Brembo brakes and full LED lighting.

300 units for young people (who already have a certain purchasing power...). 35 kW in the right hand. There are many ways to appreciate the power this F 900 R wants to exude.
