Motorcycle specifications Boss Hoss Classic Cruiser BHC-3 496 2026 The boss is going too far
presentation of the Classic Cruiser BHC-3 496 2026
With the discontinuation of the Super Sport model, Boss Hoss nearly found itself without a big-displacement model. Fortunately, to satisfy Big Block enthusiasts, its large V8 wasn’t shelved and now powers the top-of-the-line Cruiser model. Do you love over-the-top displacement? Perfect: this American bike offers 8,127 cm³ of mechanical madness.
Since 1990, Boss Hoss has made a name for itself with a lineup centered around a Chevrolet V8 —there was also a V6, but we’ll forgive that little detour aimed at the “puppies.” Several models have been released over the decades. But now, the Dyersburg, Tennessee-based brand is streamlining its lineup, retaining the Cruiser, the Bagger, and a whole series of trikes.
A colossus with many faces
With its 496 ci Chevrolet engine, this massive custom bike boasts a completely untapped 600 chevaux of power and semi-truck-level torque. This monster produces over 78 mkg—roughly the same as a McLaren 720S or the large Bentley Bentayga SUV.
This 496 ci model tops the lineup, but several configurations exist, ranging from “unreasonable” to downright insane:
The 383 ci (6,276 cm³) V8 Stroker, producing 430 chevaux
The 376 ci LS3 V8 (6,161 cm³), smaller but more powerful at 445 ch—an engine found in the Camaro.
The 454 ci small-block V8 with a displacement of 7,439 cm³, delivering 563 ch
and the Big Block featured here.
Everything you need for a thrilling, unique, and unparalleled experience. The vehicle is heavy (over 500 kg), guzzles gas (averaging over 10 liters per 100), is as athletic as an East German tank launcher, costs an arm and a leg, and is only available in the U.S.
The company American Bikes, Customs & Cars managed to import the brand into France from 2007 to 2017, limiting their power to 100 ch.

A few technical details:
- The gas tank holds more than 32 liters.
- The transmission is a 2-speed semi-automatic (Drive & Overdrive) with a torque converter, supplemented by a mechanical reverse gear that can be engaged from the cockpit.
- The fork tubes have a diameter of 63 mm.
- There is no clutch lever on the left. Power is engaged progressively via the hydraulic converter.
- Lateral torque effect: When stationary, simply pressing the throttle causes the motorcycle to tilt to the right due to the inertia of the longitudinal crankshaft.
America at its most expressive and extravagant
While Morbidelli had attempted a very refined and compact motorcycle with his 850 V8, the Boss Hoss crosses the threshold into the supernatural with an engine as enormous as it is powerful. 8.2 liters, 600 ch, over $80,000 (the base model starts at $70,000 with the smaller 383 engine), a physique that’s a cross between Dwayne Johnson and a Sasquatch...... Boss Hoss continues to evolve—its own evolution.
