Some motorcycles make a mockery of the considerations and enclaves of their future. While the majority of motorcycles have to fit a purpose, perform relentlessly, slap up sales figures, please or convince, a small handful of machines live a destiny beyond the pale. Such is the case with the products of Brough Superior: motorcycles crafted from noble materials, with uncommon prices and artistic design. This Ultimate version of the SS 100 is all about maintaining the exceptional and demonstrating the beauty of technology.

It's hard not to be overwhelmed by this machine! It seems sculpted in technical art, in the service of a unique driving experience. The Broughs are like that, but the Ultimate shows the superior level of quality that a new production toy in French workshops allows. The company now uses a Hurco 5-axis machining center to produce certain parts. Brough has thus been able to raise the level of complexity of its parts, and has tackled the highly specialized manufacture of the engine. The crankcases are no longer cast, but CNC machined from two blocks of 5000 aluminum-magnesium alloy. The visual effect is striking, while the twin becomes lighter and more resistant.
Knowing its power (102 hp) becomes negligible, as the surfaces and reliefs are so pleasing to the eye. But that's not the only interest of the Ultimate series.

The pedigree is also one of rarity. Only 19 examples will be offered. Given the price of 71,500 euros, orders won't come in like those for a Hornet. For this price, owners get a motorcycle boasting a titanium frame, a Fior double wishbone fork and aluminum swingarm, a Beringer 4D braking system with a double pair of front discs, and a wide range of high-quality parts.
The SS 100 Ultimate stands out with its different seat and black make-up on the sides of the tank, surrounded by an aluminum band. This extends to the rear shell for a totally elegant effect.

forget all those otherworldly things like traction and wheeling controls, TFT screens, smartphone connection, speed or versatility. The SS 100 is in another dimension. A true mechanical captivation for those lucky enough to get close to it, or even own it.
