Motorcycle specifications Brough SuperiorSS 100 Salt Racer Karslake 2023 Echoes of a race

Brough Superior doesn't just make high-end roadsters. The Salt Racer has been discreetly introduced - a racy sports bike for suit-wearing riders with noble titles. Nothing to do with a GSX-R or a Panigale. More like a jewel on wheels with sport in decoction.
The factory is planning a few hundred units for a high-powered public, as well as a much more limited version. The Karslake, of which only 8 will leave the factory. A tribute to one of the English brand's emblematic characters. A certain Harold, super pal of George Brough.
Delicately placed on the V-twin, the long, perfectly horizontal silhouette is given a bluish hue to great effect. Harold's name is emblazoned on the rear shell. Slightly less chrome, different exhausts - that's the whole Salt Racer difference. At Brough Superior, the celebrations are restrained. The " Bert Le Vack " edition of the SS 100 had already shown us that.
But who was this Harold Karslake? An engineer and designer with a passion for technology, a bit like Guy Coulon for our times. "Oily" developed his own motorcycle for British competition, the Dreadnought; was a founding member of the Pioneer Motor Cyclists Association, won 268 gold medals and over 30 trophies as a rider... and played an active part in the history of the Brough Superior brand, as a close collaborator and friend of Mr. Brough.
Like all the bikes in the range, the Karslake uses only the finest, most expensive materials. Titanium frame, Beringer 4-disc brakes, mass-machined Fior forks, numerous machined aluminum parts, forged CNC aluminum rims... All assembled by hand, around an engine that's on full display for all to see.
