presentation of the 125 PLANET 1999

a pretty little face, the Mito 's chassis and engine - the Planet has it all. With its big headlight, inverted fork and huge Brembo front brake disc, and a very Italian design, it's not far from a certain Ducati Monster. The riding position is less extreme than on the Mito, but still sporty. No trellis frame for this spirited roadster, but a sturdy aluminum perimeter frame. You'll quickly get the hang of it, all the more so because the machine is so efficient. Overpowering braking, an ultra-slick engine and an unflappable chassis: the Planet is not only beautiful, it's adrenalin-packed. While it shares the qualities of its sporty cousin, it also inherits the shortcomings: an unenviable turning radius, comfort that's more racing than roadster, and reliability that's far from Japanese standards. The absence of a rev counter is a matter of regret... In the limited version, the powertrain remains usable, but loses much of its superbness. The beauty requires regular, irreproachable maintenance - that's the price of riding a fatal beauty!

if I recommend a 125, it's the planet!
It rocks, it's beautiful, powerful, sublime..
A real little jewel
Unfortunately, I sold it for the big cube...Snif! but hey, there's the lapel of the dukeII (ktm)!

i've had one for 3 years and i'm selling it because of my big cube licence. otherwise, it's a fantastic machine: monstrous braking, hyper-rigid chassis and an engine that's really got a kick. only hitch: it requires regular maintenance and is very temperamental: starter out of order, piston changed at 12,000 km because of porosity + 2/3 little things on the side. but i'm taking my licence on an ER-5 and the planet has more character and kick, that's for sure! so many memories of the Planet!!! My 1st bike, the 1st crashes, my first and last fall, the first observation... it ended up in the scrap heap because of me, but how I regretted my little Planet! Since then, it's been a big cube, but it's clear that it was packed with quality, and in 8000 km: not a problem. Rating : 5/5

la planet le reve.................... Rating : 5/5
French gabin Model 1998
it's a superb machine, very reliable, and I've clocked up 25,000 km on it in 2 years. Rating : 5/5
I bought a 1999 Planet last year, with 108km on the odometer

I tightened the engine after 400km (and I was riding 'rodage') because the carburetor had not been properly adjusted during the debriding

Since then...... I've done 5000km at full throttle at full throttle at full throttle..... nothing to complain about, you just need a VERY competent mechanic

Only complaint... comfort, especially for the passenger.

Hello, I also own a Planet, I'm really disappointed, my mother-in-law too. Tomorrow I'm going fishing, that's cool! Rating : 5/5
French motoraf Model 1998
hi friends, I'm like you, I own a Planet (black from 98) and I've gone over 20,000 km without any problems (it's not only the japs who make good bikes)! I'm a maniac with my bike, I worked as a salesman in a multi-brand garage including the Cagiva dealership. I learned a lot from the mechanics, so I do the maintenance myself (cheaper and safer). I'm crazy about this bike, my fiancée rode it for the first time this year on my Planet, she's thrilled and above all she takes it for a spin every time we go for a ride. Forza Cagiva!!! Rating : 5/5
French Lotus Model 1998
I've also been the proud owner of a Planet for over a year now. For maintenance, there's nothing like a good garage, so you don't have to go back 3 or 4 times a year. In town, it's a joy to ride, and I'm still having just as much fun on it... but for touring, it's a bit short, which is why I opted for the big cube - CBR 900 - after one or two "hot" overtaking maneuvers. It's really the ideal bike for beginners, and looks great too...a word of advice: always pull on it tightly to avoid clogging the exhaust valve and tightening it up...that's the joys of the 2T. i too own a Planet for the moment I have no engine problems with 12,000 kilometers but I'm disappointed for example by the speedo that screws up ... even its position is bad ... this is just an example but it remains an impressive machine by its road holding its potency ... I strongly recommend it for people who are not afraid to spend without counting ... but when you love you don't count ;-) Rating : 5/5
French benphu Model 1998
I can confirm the cost of maintaining the Planet; for example, an original meter costs almost 300 Euros, and it's the first part to break if it's dropped! Not to mention the non-existent network. But apart from that, it's a phenomenal machine, turning heads in the street with its "capsule body" design (especially with the chrome tank). I changed the pot (I think it's too "has-been"), I fitted tapered chrome mirrors (tight so they don't move) that make the beast even brighter, and I fitted an Ermax windscreen (the speedmax) because at 100 km/h, well... you remember you're riding a roadster! The bike's styling is in no way marred by this useful appendage. Finally, as I live in the Paris region and often use my Planet in Paris, I find it very nimble and capable of getting around quite well. All in all, a real pleasure! Rating : 5/5
French Cagiva man Model 1998
I too own a Cagiva Planet and I can tell you that it works like a charm, but be careful, it's an expensive motorcycle in every way, whether it's purchase or maintenance. Rating : 5/5
French tomzy Model 1998
i've owned a planet for a month now.I'm looking for a 125 for the touring side, but I'd like something that allows me to overtake if necessary.this bike is perfection.nothing to say except for the instability of the mirrors at high speed.as far as bite is concerned, the power is there.my planet handles the kms at speed thanks to a prepa and a complete ARROW line(180KMH)ON HIGHWAY OF COURSE; Rating : 5/5
