presentation of the 1000 NAVIGATOR 2001

cagiva is a big fan of twins, especially Suzuki twins. The TLS twin also powers the Raptor and this Navigator. A big trail bike with a pleasing, beautifully drawn design. Let's not forget that Cagiva and MV-Agusta are related. Once in the saddle, you'll discover a fine, flowing machine, a pleasant sensation of lightness, and a riding position that's a tad sport-oriented - almost supermotard, in fact. A good idea, given the fiery, playful temperament of the Suzuki twin. Originality has not been forgotten, as evidenced by the "insect-like" but attractive fork head, or the fuel tank with 2 fuel filler flaps.

The dashboard is complete, but not the readability, which would benefit from larger dials. The chassis, a latticework mix of box and tube, allows for a serene yet playful ride, while remaining safe and balanced. The machine is easy to handle, surprisingly lively, and the engine delectable. Powerful but above all torquey, it takes the Navigator with ease along small mountain roads. The machine twirls and plays with the road. In the family of large trails, CAGIVA 1000 NAVIGATORthe Navigator is the only one equipped with an 18" front wheel, allowing it to be fitted with road tires. It's not afraid of the open road, although the rider will appreciate it a little less: the seat is hard and protection is limited at sustained speeds. Braking is adequate, but the machine could do with better brakes. The big Cagiva trail bike has a distinctly Italian temperament, a Japanese heart, and the kind of fishing and fun that gives you a lot of pleasure.

French touchpassa Model 2000
A great bike. Very slim, unlike other bikes of similar size.
Very good handling and healthy cornering.
Brakes a little soft, but ideal without abs ðŸ˜.
I can't get enough of it, and it's the one that's given me the most driving pleasure since I got my license 10 years ago.
Strong, willing engine, reliable.
I never tire of modifying it to suit my needs. It livens up my road trips. Never lets me down. All its little faults are easily corrected. And a very friendly cagivaonline forum to help you out if you run into trouble or just need advice.
My modifications: reworked front end with twin headlights, high multistrada bubble, seat raised with softer foam...

Hello, I'm looking for an engine block for my 2002 1000 navigator. I've called various suppliers, but apparently they don't melt the part anymore

This is a machine that's not always easy to tame, but it's a lot of fun to ride..
Light and lively, it swallows the small bends in my department without ever faltering, and the torque of the Suzuki V twin is always there to get out of the corners with ease and suppleness... A lovely toy in a nutshell....

Surprises, coming from Africa, not much to see, it pushes hard, don't forget to get close to the tank before stepping on the gas,
if you don't, you'll save on front tires,
in duo, just be careful of the exhaust manifold, which is close to the footwells and loves to burn the pumps ....for maintenance
the injection settings require a concession with the right settings, which isn't easy, except for these, which are a pleasure...

I had a gran canyon, which I was already fully satisfied with, but now... the Navigator is something else. Personally, I think it's the ideal bike. Comfortable, fun to ride, playful, with a racy engine and an aesthetically different look, it's got it all. No bike on the market today does it as well. What's more, contrary to rumors, SIMA reacts ultra-quickly, and helps you out with its own parts, when CAGIVA can't provide after-sales service
in a word: TOP!

having just got out of a dominator and looking for a bike with character but that could also be ridden quietly (and therefore with a lot of torque...), I was interested in the tdm... which was stolen from under my nose before the fitting!
the cagiva dealer (and other ktm, husqui, ...) let me try it, and I fell for it!
it's a real pleasure to overtake on my little country roads, but it's true that the protection is limited, and that it's a pain in the city, because to stay at 50, you can't go past the second... when it comes to driving it, it's difficult because it's so torquey!
personally, I love !!!!!

it's an excellent bike, with its faults and its qualities, on the other hand: after-sales service, a disaster, lighting with the new philips bulbs (sorry for the advert), it's better, not great, but better especially in low beam, for the full headlights RAS, a good setting is enough, on the engine side it's a ball of nerves, on the road holding and pleasure side it goes through the bends all by itself, on the maintenance side, I have as info pads before 30,000 km, original chain kit again, and with ninja approved pots it's a joy. bonne route aux navigator que du plaisir Rating : 5/5
French Alain Model 2000
I've ridden the Italian and then the Suzuki V-strom

It's definitely the same engine.
But in terms of comfort and light, it's much better

And for a lower price, it's even better

Hi Bikers, I've had my navigator for 2 years and frankly I have nothing to complain about. Just be careful with the battery (it leaks on some models, like mine for example). As for the finish, it's an Italian, so you know what you're getting into. As for the lighting, I had my big light coupled with the low beam, which is already much better when it's really dark
What more can I say except that you're in for a real treat.

I'm dragging around my 3rd africa twin 750, and I can't wait to see what bike can replace it... something else for sure, or... no, I just love the concept of a torquey V-twin put into a cycle part for grown-ups, not clunky, not flanked by tons of plastic, and pretty, not a bunker! it's you navigator, I don't see any other choice, there's no competition with this successful cocktail, attractive charmer (I did a short test). too bad for the 35W bulbs in code (it's an image). but one day I'll have one to keep eternally young. Hats off to you, fine lady. Rating : 5/5
I'm only passionate about Italian cars. The Navigator isn't totally, and yet it has captured my heart. Flexibility, power, looks and reliability... in short, it sets the bar very high, and I couldn't find a better replacement than a navigator ... in a different color, taking advantage of SIMA's liquidation.
The bike would benefit from being better known to improve the network and accessories, although at the end of the day it's nice to have a special, little-known bike
See you on the road.

Hello, after having ridden many motorcycles, jap, German and Italian, I've settled on the Navigator, a particularly successful compromise that combines utility, feel, reliability and economy in a single machine. Only the look and finish need to be revised. My problem today is that I'd like to change motorcycles to enjoy myself, and I haven't found a worthy replacement! Rating : 5/5
After a number of machines, notably English ones (very much appreciated, by the way), I felt the need for a versatile, torquey, powerful machine for everyday use on small, winding country roads and with a more than respectable price/performance ratio: you'll find miss 1000 navigator.Mine: New 2004 motorcycle, €7,200 2-year warranty, purchased from a very serious brand representative (MOTORS SPEED in the OISE region). I drove 800 kms to pick it up. To put it plainly: it's an Italian, so there are a few minor problems with the plastics finish and average lighting; nothing serious, but for the rest it's a joy: feel, agility, view, sport, ride, comfort, duo, long distance and maintenance. My first 8000 kms on it in all weathers are ready to attest to that. Rating : 5/5
French Dirk Model 2000
After several Japanese bikes (Yam & Honda), it's clear that the Navigator's finish (average) and lighting (frankly bad) aren't worthy of the bike, but as for the rest, I don't mind riding it. It really is a great bike. Rating : 5/5
It's a beautiful, reliable bike that I've had for 3 years and 50,000 km. Finishing details to be reviewed, screws to be locked, a few adjustments for touring and that's it. The most annoying original fault is the very reliable code lighting and the brand's distribution network (but not the importer, who is passionate). Hence, using the resources of the net while browsing! Very good base, no hidden defects and reasonably priced parts like Suzuki maintenance. Rating : 5/5
French delire9 Model 2000
You've got to stop spitting in the soup! especially when it's good. It's an Italian bike with plenty of character, power to spare, excellent roadholding and a finish to make Japanese bikes turn yellow. Now, if you want a bike like your neighbor, don't buy a Navigator! Rating : 5/5
