Motorcycle specifications Daelim125 ROADSPORT R 2011 Join the clan

daelim enters the 125 sports segment with a pretty little machine. With its full fairing and aggressive fork head, the Roadsport R makes us forget all about its Roadwin base. From the front, with its central air intake and large, sharp eyes, this 125 hesitates between a CBR 600 RR face and that of the old Derbi GPR racing bike. Chassis-wise, the essentials have been taken from the roadster: 35 mm fork, steel perimeter frame, 280 mm single-disc front brake - not quite enough to ensure sporty braking. Especially as the Roadsport weighs over 160 kg dry on the scales. In terms of engine and equipment, the Daelim makes up for lost time. Suspension is better than on the Roadwin. The center stand has become so rare on sports bikes that its presence is greatly appreciated. The instrument panel is as fun as it is complete, with digital speed display, large tachometer, engine temperature and fuel gauge per segment, clock and trip odometer.
mechanically, the single-cylinder engine has nothing in common with the roadster's block. Here, it's a modern, high-performance displacement engine with fuel injection, liquid cooling, double ACT, 4 valves and balancer. In fact, it behaves like a sports engine: not very demonstrative at low revs, it demands to be revved up to prove its efficiency. The chassis actively follows the rider-motorcycle duo's spirit, and the overall balance makes for a lot of fun, which makes us all the more sorry that the brakes aren't up to the task. The Roadsport can exceed 120 km/h, a truly astonishing speed given the weight of the machine. Last but not least, the Roadsport's protection is truly satisfactory, enhancing the bike's versatility. More expensive than its direct competitor, the Honda CBR 125, but more generously proportioned, it also competes with the other star, the Yamaha YZF-R. The latter is far more expensive for its looks and technology. Now it's up to the Daelim to make a name for itself in this segment.

Very good bike. I have 50 000km on the odometer of mine bought new in 2011 (vintage 2010).
The 2013 model is missing from the website and the new KTM 125 RC is missing from the competition.

very good bike, a little long to warm up because of the liquid cooling, but when it's nice and warm, a real tigress for a 125, of course Rating : 4/5 Participate in the conversation

I own several motorcycles, honda 1000 cbr from 89, yamaha 600 ténéré from 89, yamaha 125 ybr from 2008 and 125 daelim rodsport from 2010
I use the latter for my work trips, knowing that I do 80 kms a day mainly on secondary roads and a little in small towns
It's the ideal machine for these journeys, fast enough but not too fast, and economical
It's a pity that the engine is rather hollow between 4,000 and 6,000 rpm. With fuel injection, it's hard to fix that!
I've even managed to get rid of my big cbr, which really does have too much power, making it hard to control that darn right wrist!
This daelim was intended for my wife, but the size of the little beast has impressed her for the time being
In the meantime, she's using the little ybr, which is even easier to ride and very, very economical! but it's a small bike for short trips
Unlike new drivers who are looking for speed, this daelim allows me to get around at a normal, obligatory pace (I don't like that word!) and still have a bit of fun with a slight feeling of freedom, which is very rare these days!
I'm thinking of selling the cbr and the ténéré to buy a machine like the kawa 500 gpz or similar
Bonne route à tous!

So don't hesitate to give it a try, especially if you find a competent and friendly dealer. Note that the same successful version also exists in 250cm3. Rating : 5/5 Respond to rene
