presentation of the 998 MONSTER S4R Testastretta 2007
in parallel with the release of the wild S4Rs, Ducati is upgrading the S4R with the same engine, the 130hp 998cc. With this extra 13 horsepower in its guts, the Monster becomes more powerful than ever. The 43 mm inverted fork also benefits from this evolution, with radial brake calipers. In terms of looks, it's more charming than ever, with its superb tubular swingarm, 2 superimposed exhausts, small windscreen and even better finish. All in all, the S4R differs from its prestigious sister only in a series of carbon parts and a different suspension system. Showa forks and Sachs shock absorbers are used here, whereas the S4Rs is equipped entirely with Öhlins components. This represents a substantial saving of 2,400 euros, without sacrificing the inimitable character of the Testastretta twin and its cavernous vocals.
