revamped in 2000, with raised handlebars, a slimmer rearservoir, smoother controls, a rev counter and fuel injection, the 900 Monster retains the sublime pencil strokes that gave it birth in the early 90s. Injection has made the desmo twin much smoother, and given it a few extra horses. The revised riding position is much more pleasant. As is the way the twin works, rounder and fuller. Has the monster become gentle? Not at all! The terror of the city will certainly be more at ease here, but it has kept all its fiery spirit. At half throttle, all you have to do is turn the handle to get a good kick in the ass. Big potatoes, a husky, cavernous sound, this mill is a real delight. The formidable agility goes hand in hand with the stiffness of the suspension, more suited to sporty riding than cruising. Don't worry about the brakes, entrusted to Brembo 4-piston units.

French Model 2000
I've been riding this bike for nearly 20 years, briefly 172000 km of pure pleasure. It's a bike that puts a smile on your face, and even after a good climb up Mont-Ventoux (dept 84) you're singing into your helmet! These days, that's rare! The engine really delivers great sensations: your right hand is connected to the road. The only piece of advice: do your maintenance on time and use original Ducati parts. The icing on the cake: this is one of the most beautiful roadsters in production. Have a nice ride. Rating : 4/5

I was lucky enough to own one in 2000, which I kept for a few years, then I had the 1000 version. I have good and not-so-good memories of it, but it's a bike with enormous character. It was with this bike that I became a Ducatista, goodbye Japanese bikes. With a few motifs, it's terrific. If you can, never part with it. Rating : 5/5

This is my 5th bike, but my first Ducat! A 2002 Monster 900 ie special series Ducati Corsica and fully equipped Ducati performance (ecu, exhaust and open air box ...).
A pure pleasure bike! A timeless look, a playful engine and a chassis that's almost always up to scratch! Buy it with your eyes closed, if it's well maintained!

i've just bought a 900 monster dark (2000), I also have a speed triple (2005); I find the monster top from an aesthetic point of view, the sound thanks to the termignoni pots, after I've just got it so I can't compare, but I find it less nervous than the speed. To be seen on mountain roads... These were the two bikes I wanted, and I'm delighted! Two beautiful personalities, two beautiful faces, two extra loud bi-cylinders and 3 cylinders, long live Triumph and long live Ducati! Rating : 5/5

I've just tried out a 1999 900M, what a piece of crap this bike is, everyone says it pushes, you'll have to tell me qund, not to mention the pan noise of the dry clutch, it's a real horror. I don't understand why people say that this bike feels like a peid in the butt, it's all bullshit. It's like the VMax, a lot of blah blah about how it's growing and once again, you've got to stop the bullshit. I tried a Buell, the little 1000 and oh yes, it pushes, it tears and it's a kick in the ass, I've been riding for 15 years, on all types of motorcycles, I'm not a sectarian, but stop saying that a motorcycle pushes when it's not true.
