presentation of the 1870 Tri Glide Ultra 'Tobacco Fade Enthusiast' FLHTCUTG 2024
The luxurious Harley-Davidson trike joins the 2024 "Enthusiast" collection. This is reflected in the "Tobacco fade" theme covering its upholstery. Despite its very cigar & cigar identity, the paint scheme is actually about music: the inspiration is rooted in the classic sunburst wood finish first discovered on rock'n'roll guitars, basses and drums of the 1960s.
Indeed, the sight of a Harley "Tobacco Fade" doesn't conjure up images of a tobacco plant, but rather of sun-warmed wooden shoulders soaked in aged tree liquor. A caramel stripe enhances the character of the metallic gold surface at the edge of the sunburst shade. With this deep, patinated look, the Tri Glide Ultra sets the atmosphere ablaze with a Chuck Berry tone.
Like the other models in this collection, the Low Rider ST andUltra Limited, the machine will be produced in a limited series of 2,000 units. Apart from its specific color and emblems*, there's no difference between it and the production trike. The crew will enjoy the Milwaukee Eight twin in its 114 ci definition, with 159 Nm of torque at 3,000 rpm. Not to mention Electra Glide-like protection, Boom Box GTS infotainment, high-flying seating and a huge 124-liter King Tour-Pak trunk, plus 68-liter top-case.
* By the way, what's all this about emblems!?!! The Tri Glide Ultra Tobacco Fade features a pick motif on the front fender, and a reinterpretation of the Harley logo on the sides of the tank: the brand name is inscribed on a badge in the shape of a vinyl record. Nostalgic fans will remember the little crackle of the sapphire before the artist took over.
Something else has begun to take over the Harley: electronics. Nothing less than traction control, cornering ABS, interconnected braking and residual torque control to make this big machine, weighing in at over half a ton, safer to ride. The only type of Harley machine that can be ridden with a car license (+ a few hours training).
