Motorcycle specifications Harley-Davidson1450 SOFTAIL HERITAGE CLASSIC FLSTC 2006 En route to America
presentation of the 1450 SOFTAIL HERITAGE CLASSIC FLSTC 2006
in the Softail range, this Heritage is the one best suited to cutting kilometers. In addition to its typically Harley plasticity, the large windshield (which can be easily removed with a flick of the wrist) and its handsome leather saddlebags with studded trim are also very appealing. Derived from the Fat Boy, it's not surprising to find a strong resemblance. The Heritage has a number of good arguments for taking bikers along Route 66 without a care in the world. First and foremost, the new Twin Cam 88 B, a much more appreciable engine than its predecessor.
the installation of a balancer shaft has significantly reduced vibrations - the hallmark of Milwaukee engines. Purists will cringe, but that's the only reproach (and still) that can be made. This engine is generous with torque, and has a nice amount of length and power. The other thing that sets this bike apart is its comfort. A good seat, low and welcoming, better shock absorbers, we appreciate it. Braking has also improved, thanks to new 4-piston calipers. A great way to discover a taste of America.

so 2026, a lot more miles.
The front brake isn't great, though. Rating : 5/5 Respond to Pat55

For my part, I had a hard time getting a simple 2005 883R clamped because it was a carbureted model and already in Stage 1, so HD didn't want me to clamp it unless I put back the original parts, about 1700â'¬ in total, which would remove the Stage 1 clamp (and even then, they weren't sure they could find the parts they were telling me about...). And finally, I found a garage that only dealt in second-hand cars, which fitted the clamp. It cost a bit more than if I'd done it directly at HD because they had to make the part, but I got it for about 400â'¬, not 1700.
But the advice I'd give would be to find out everything you can before buying, otherwise you'll end up with a bike that can't be bridged, so you can't register it and therefore have no insurance...
I hope this helps a little. Rating : 5/5 Participate in the conversation
Can you confirm what maintenance needs to be done on my 2006 heritage softail and the approximate cost? .... I don't want to do anything stupid or not what's needed. I'm hearing several different things and I'm at a loss, thanks for helping me

I don't have this bike, so I don't know what screws you're talking about, but just for the record, doesn't the tool kit supplied with the bike contain this screwdriver? What about the technical manual?
If not, maybe a photo and a visit to a DIY expert will give you the information you need. But it seems to me that HD, like other manufacturers, often chooses parts that require brand-specific tools! :(
All the best. Rating : 3/5 Participate in the conversation
I've had a new HD since March 2003, and I'm very happy with it. I've done nearly 80,000 km with it, and it's still running like new with no problems. Rating : 5/5 Participate in the conversation
