presentation of the 1250 NIGHT ROD SPECIAL VRSCDX 2009
attention all bikers, especially Hells Angels, here's Milwaukee's newest bike. The Night Rod's little sister, the VRSCDX Night Rod Special is a concentrate of style and performance. With a blacked-out Revolution 1246 cc engine that spits out 123 hp and 111 Nm of torque at 6,750 rpm, the VRSCDX Night Rod Special is the kingpin of Power Cruisers. The blackened parts give it a dark look, and the 240 mm tires (18" rear and 19" front) are ready to devour the asphalt.
A true custom at heart, the Night Rod Special features a restyled low seat, just 640mm off the ground, low and wide dragster-style handlebars, forward-mounted foot controls that are a little too far back to ride in 'Low Rider' configuration, and above all a 49mm fork angled at 34°.
The hydroformed black steel frame, fork, three Brembo (no, you're not dreaming) 4-piston brake discs, swingarm and solid black openwork rims show the Night Rod Special's darker side. The blackened Revolution engine with raised fins and lacquered crankcases, the headlamp nacelle, the raised and brushed double exhaust with blackened caps and protectors, as well as the mirrors, rear shocks and controls reveal even more. The Black-On-Black finish with racing stripes gives the bike the mean look of a big, powerful custom. A 19-liter fuel tank is located under the seat, leaving plenty of room for long rides.
Sitting on this monster, you'll notice an imposing stance and be ready to gobble it all up in a turn of the wheel. Available in Black Denim with Vivid Black 'racing stripes' or in Vivid Black with Black Denim 'racing stripes', the difference lies in the matte or glossy black bodywork/double stripes running down the middle of the bike... So get ready to take on the road if you can write a cheque for €18795.
