presentation of the 1690 STREET GLIDE FLHX 2011
is Cruise halfway between the Electra Glide Ultra Classic and the Road King? Certainly more in line with the Electra, from which it takes on many of the same elements. Like the Electra, it's a grand tourer with a more minimalist, streamlined style. Gone are the triple eyes, replaced by a single large headlamp; the top case disappears, leaving the line fluid and giving pride of place to the Street's hips; the tubular protection bars are still there, but the ones that deflected the air are gone. It's even very close to the Electra Glide Standard. In fact, it would be easy to confuse the two if it weren't for the more sylph-like seat and smaller windscreen. Slimmer and less imposing, this Glide is designed for the open road, without the overhanging canopy of the Electra Ultra Classic. But travelers can rest assured that the Street still has enough to satisfy American-style long-distance riders.
rigid saddlebags, oleo-pneumatic rear suspension, twin cam 103 and a large, well-equipped fork head: electronic tachometer, rev counter, fuel dipstick, voltmeter, oil pressure gauge, ambient temperature indicator, and, last but not least, a Harman Kardon audio system. The elongated chrome console over the fuel tank never ceases to provoke the retina. Part custom, part cruiser, the Street Glide FLHXI is a very interesting alternative to the famous Electra Glide. The seat knows the meaning of comfort, and the ride lets you discover cruising. Relax with the melody of the on-board Hi-Fi and the rhythm of the big Milwaukee twin. The 1690, reserved in 2010 for theElectra Limited, is now also installed in this Street Glide (and in the entire Touring range too). Bigger and fatter, it promises greater sensations and more drive for this heavy tourer. The new 6-speed gearbox has made some progress, but remains very typical. Not too fast in corners, it rubs quickly. Besides, I told you it was all about cruising, and that's what the Street Glide was made for. Like its counterparts in the Touring range, the Street was equipped with larger brakes (300 mm in diameter) in 2008, and with ABS as standard since 2009. The fuel tank, increased to 22.7 liters in 2008, means you can travel even longer. And even more serenely, with the opportunity to have some fun (everything is relative). The chassis has been completely overhauled, with a redesigned, stiffer frame, a new swingarm, a 17" front wheel and a wider rear wheel fitted with a 180.

Except that I come from the hyper sport at the base...
the journalist gives 2 negative points... the weight... and price...
Except that it's super easy to handle, I find it stable, agile, it brakes superbly...

And I have 3 meters and 3 radios
For condensation inside
There are other cases ???? Rating : 4/5 Respond to Charly
8000km
And that makes 3 replacement of meter and radio for moisture inside
Is there anyone else with this problem? Merci à tous Rating : 5/5 Respond to Charly
More torque I'd say is the only positive point. The braking is a real catastrophe, the dashboard has been denatured, it almost looks like a GT...where are the chromes??? The panniers are more practical to open, but the one on the switch is not. In short, the beauty of the brand lies in its rough side..... attention..... Rating : 3/5 Respond to Biker
It's quite simply a magnificent motorcycle.
A Harley will always be a Harley.
