To experience Touring on a Harley-Davidson, you need to be somewhat familiar with the brand's codes. It's hard to imagine making your first foray into the world of Milwaukee on a Road King or Electra Limited. Now it's possible to take a Sportster for a long ride, with all the advantages of a Superlow 883, the nervousness of a twin 1200, and a much lower entry price than the Swichback. This Superlow 1200 T has a lot going for it, and it's well presented to attract a little more than curiosity.

at a glance, the Sportster Superlow 1200 T is a motorcycle with a ground-level seat, a toned-down engine, a windscreen and a pair of saddlebags. In essence, this machine has taken over most of the chassis and accessibility of the 883 Superlow, with its seat height peaking at just 702 mm (hence the name). However, the suspension is new and the footrests are 7 cm higher. The heart has grown, and rather unnecessarily so. The 883 cm3 engine is a little too small for long-distance touring. With 15 more horsepower and 26 Nm, the 1200 block is much more responsive. It's enough to have fun and enjoy a willing availability, while accepting that this engine won't be able to lift your loins like only the hairy fat of a big Twin Cam can. On the plus side, the Superlow T weighs 53.5 kg less than the lightest model in the Touring range.

ambiance or Tourer capacity on board?! The Superlow 1200 T comes with a removable 356 mm windshield and a set of lockable panniers. Their anchoring points make it easy to install a luggage rack and backrest (optional). The instrument panel is visually reduced to its simplest expression: a tachometer and a small array of indicator lights. Take a closer look: the LCD window can display the gear engaged, the trip or a digital tachometer, with handlebar controls.
The Superlow 1200 T also benefits from recent improvements to the Sportster range. These include a 300 mm front brake disc with 34 mm pistons, ABS as standard, and keyless ignition.
Offered at half the price of a 1690 Street Glide, this 1200 Touring is the perfect machine to take your Sportster craving to the roadways.

Hi, I have a 2017 XLT, apart from the rear shock absorbers which are totally wrong for a relatively heavy bike (270kg), left adjustable with a knob which is very hard and right a moped shock absorber because it can compress by hand, by the way I changed them. Otherwise, it's a very lively bike, pleasant to ride, but unfortunately no duo. My new shocks work very well. Rating : 4/5

Hello, after 7000 km I'm very disappointed by the comfort of this bike
of this bike, a "real pain in the ass", the shock absorbers need to be changed. on the other hand, it's a real pleasure to accelerate (stage 1). the windscreen protects up to 110 km/h, above which it no longer protects
After that, you need time to acclimatize to the engine (I used to have a road king), and that's nothing to do with the 1200, which you have to ride to the sound of the engine, the duo, to be ridden on short distances, otherwise my wife doesn't appreciate it at all. In short, it's a bike for egotists with a back made of concrete. and pure joy for the sensations.

Hello,
Following a problem with my 2011 1200 custom, I'm thinking of upgrading to this machine, but I have a question: is it "too" low? Does it rub rarely or all the time to the point where it becomes painful?
Note that I'm a 60-kilo woman, driving alone and with my 1m68 height, I'm thinking of putting on standard toe-clips rather than advanced ones, as I don't feel I'm holding my machine steady enough

For the XL1200T superlow sporster to be comfortable and its handling sound, it's essential to invest in the Premium ride cartridge fork kit ref 45400090 and rear shock absorbers worthy of the name, in 12.5 or 13 inches instead of the original 11.5. This will also avoid rubbing in every bend when riding with two people. Break the piggy bank for Ohlins, it's worth it and transforms the bike. A real pleasure! Rating : 4/5
