presentation of the CVO 1800 ROAD GLIDE ULTRA FLTRSE 2015
Once you've splashed out a small fortune, the lucky Road-Glider may not have enough horizon to appreciate all the exuberance of this machine. The engine alone could monopolize all attention. Huge, overflowing, imbued from fin to fin with Milwaukee's history, and curiously modern with the adoption of liquid cooling for the top end. Torque? With its almost 16 mkg, it could lift an elephant off the ground. Prestige? The guttural, wobbly, fat melody of the Twin Cam 110 alone is enough to present its reputation. At 1801 cm3, the Sreamin' Eagle is the biggest in the range.
with the particularity of resting on the chassis, the huge fork head constrains the steering less than on an Electra, which has to support the Batwing. Revamped with the Rushmore project, its vents reduce pressure and eddies. A set of Daymaker LED headlights make little difference to the look, but they do improve efficiency. To complete the picture, a bubble with chrome inserts tops the hood.
The Road Glide has a large cargo capacity with two suitcases and a Tour-Pak. In CVO, it's such a plethora of accessories that you're almost tempted to accept the undrinkable price tag. Take another moment to let your eyes feast on the gleaming Slicer wheels, the ubiquitous chrome, the selection of parts from the Airflow collection (pilot footpads, passenger footpads, shifter tips, brake pedal and skid plate), and the many other accessories.brake pedal and skid plate, advanced footrests, heated grips with rubber inserts and gear selector rod), and seating worthy of a top-of-the-range car (two perforated leather seats with adjustable passenger backrest and integrated heating)... You'd almost forget the standard equipment found on more common models. But still: cruise control, Brembo brakes with ABS and Reflex coupling, Boom! Box 6.5 GT with 75 watts per channel and GPS, H-D Smart hands-free system, pneumatic rear suspension, One-Touch opening/closing concept, ... it can last a long time.
What's more, the quality of the paintwork and the range of colors available will soon have pacemakers panicking on the terraces where the Road Glide Ultra 1800 CVO stops. Do you have one absolute requirement for touring? This Harley-Davidson is more than you are!
