The Low Rider is not only part of Harley-Davidson's current line-up, it's also part of the company's history. Born almost 40 years ago, this stripped-down, rebellious custom, born of the desire for power, fulfills its destiny with this S version. A new definition of performance, driven by a CVO heart.
the S family is fresh out of its metal exuberance and already welcomes a third brother. For torque-hungry bikers, the S offers a taste of the big 110 ci Screamin' Eagle twin at a less elitist price than the CVO club. In turn, the Low Rider swaps its 1690 cm3 twin for an 1801 cm3 big block. More than the gain in horsepower, a trivial value for the Harley community, it's the leap in torque that fans will remember. Each bowl produces a powerful vibration, to the wobbly, timeless rhythm of the single crankpin of a lead-heavy crankshaft. It snorts, it belches, and it pumps out 15.8 mkg of torque at 3500 rpm. Three more than the 103 ci of the standard Low Rider, an extra 23%. Copious.
available in a single shade of deep black, the Low Rider S offers a few fancy touches that don't make you laugh, but assert its desire for a camouflage. Like the Magnum Gold rims with their magnesium-gold finish, reminiscent of 60s racing cars. Above all, it's all about performance. From the Twin Cam 110's stubborn power, to the sporty spirit of the small windscreen and improved suspension. The two side shocks and fork are Premium Ride. Harley's aim is to improve the handling of this belligerent machine. A solo saddle has taken over the seat, and the truncated rear mudguard only confirms the Low Rider S's ire. The engine, the machine's key component, breathes generously through a generously-sized and prominently displayed air filter. The breath is evacuated by a Fat Bob-inspired double exhaust. Even the rider's attitude becomes more threatening with Drag-style handlebars, and with cruise control as standard, you can even be sensible. But who would want to?

Braking is assured by ABS and 3 discs: a double 300 mm with 4-piston calipers at the front, a 292 mm rear with 2-piston caliper. Alongside the Fat Boy S and Slim S, this boosted Low Rider is sure to be a contender. On the downside, the S adds an extra 3,000 euros to the wallet.
it's the best engine in harley production (powerful with lots of character), i've tried all the new (and old 1690) models and none of them work like this one. the 1690s lack a bit of power (in softail version, no feeling) and the 107 and 114 are too linear for bi bikes

I bought it 1 1/2 years ago with 9740kms on the clock
The first outings were great, but after 4000kms I started having problems turning right or left

The timing gear broke at 20,000km after the end of the warranty. Fortunately, I stopped immediately and didn't mess up anything else.
No warranty, the bike is 2 1/2 years old.

Tuesday the bike is repatriated to HD Brignais.Wednesday 2pm the MAAF expert arrives to appraise the bike
But the dealer didn’t have time to look at the bike
So new appointment on 27/8,8 days later ,so 8 days lost and the expert came for nothing
Conclusion The expert isn’t up to the job and far too nice and leaves the dealership?
And the after-sales service isn’t at all responsive and would rather prepare a new bike than waste time making an estimate and a quote to Mr Poncet who just bought a used bike for the sum of 13900â'¬
If that’s the HD sav in France, he should be selling potatoes

Whether during my run in Berlin (3,000km) or on the roads of the Vercors or the Haute Ardèche, this bike is at ease and punchy.
Torque at all revs, excellent acceleration in all situations (race with a Porche on a German freeway) and decent comfort.
The only drawbacks are the lack of space for everyday use (backpack mandatory) and the VERY fragile paintwork.
