Motorcycle specifications HondaGL 1500 GOLDWING 2000 A 6-cylinder palace

As the 90s approached, Honda presented the most fabulous motorcycle limousine ever produced. An extraordinary machine made to measure for America. A liner with royal comfort and a unique engine: a 1,520 cm3 flat 6-cylinder. Absolute storage capacity, a radio-cassette as standard, and you're all set for the journey. The engine is a velvety delight, and its positioning gives the bike a low center of gravity. The same applies to the seat. Comfort is on a par, and everything has been designed to make it unforgettable: compressor-adjustable suspension, cruise-control, night-lit controls, electric reverse, integral braking, beyond-perfect protection, car sedan lighting... and the list goes on. The bike has good roadholding (a tad uncertain in long curves) if you keep below 160. Should you persist, the appalling fuel consumption will quickly calm you down. Such a machine inevitably takes up a lot of space, is hard to improvise around and requires a hefty budget. These are minor shortcomings compared to an imperial traveler, but above all to a staggering motorcycle. Now it's up against the K 1200 LT, a very accomplished and serious Teutonic rival.

Does the 1991 vintage have reverse gear?

Thank you Rating : 4/5 Respond to Bourri
i'm considering buying a used 1999 Goldwing 1500 with 57,000 kms I would just like to know if this is a good or bad year and if 57000 kms is not too much?
Please tell me if this is a good idea or a bad one
I had the 1000 Goldwing when I was young and since then I've had a lot of BMs, especially the K 1200 LT FL, but it's too heavy and above all too high.
cordially to all

I've been a winger since I was 20, and I'm not at all tired of the Goldwing.
Like Loulou 67, I appreciate the 1500's portability?
What's more, the sound is magical, without the hiss of the latest 1800s.
For me, who loves motorcycle touring, it's the ultimate.
In fact, I'm keeping it and hope to equip it with a trike in the near future. Rating : 5/5 Respond to JIJI
To try it is to adopt it.
Bonne route à tous Rating : 5/5 Respond to laurent

i've owned a 99 Gold 1500 for 3 years, but before that I owned a 2006 bm K1200LT.
My personal opinion beyond the seat height bm 4cylinders for 6 cylinders for the Gold, t\'a not photos better torque for the Gold.
Now the strong point of the K1200LT is better handling on wet roads.
Au plaisir de vous relire.

A hell of a 6-cylinder, which can still be tinkered with, and phenomenal carrying capacity, more than the 1800
Think about it, you can fit a total of 8 helmets on the bike,
I'm not changing

We often leave with tent etc... (Sylger-Design trailer) without fatigue or stress
After trying it out, the 1800 has an excellent engine/frame combo, great braking, but comfort and protection are a step down => I'm keeping the 1500
I wish you all a pleasant ride. Rating : 5/5 Respond to mimi
I started when I was 25... and I'm proud of it... I've never fallen off, in fact it's saved my ass several times!
