presentation of the CB 1000 R Black Edition 2023

Like Spiderman and Venom, Anakyn and Darth Vader, Mario and Wario, oil and oil change, some characters sooner or later cross paths with their dark double. For the CB 1000 R II, the clone of nights and torments will be the Black Edition.

Black has been chic and dark for some time now. Matte, glossy, glittery, luminous or discreet, it has become more than just a color on certain products. On the Honda roadster, for example, it has taken over every part where light can no longer escape.

Gone are the days of simply painting the tank, mudguard and rear hull. The exercise has become a totalitarian one. Honda has eliminated virtually every metallic sheen, darkened every chrome part and removed every trace of color. With three exceptions: the TFT instrument panel, the road fittings, and the Honda emblem inlaid on the edges of the fuel tank.
Makes you wonder if the bike was showered in charcoal. Every part that Honda wanted to highlight on the CB 1000 R has been turned upside down: the brushed aluminum plates, the seat support, the handlebars, the tees, the entire exhaust system, the footpeg anchor plates, the fork tubes, the levers, the headlight surround... full black, that is.

Honda CB 1000 R Black Edition except for a few disc marks on some of the engine ribs. For him, however, it's not ashes but the fire of 145 horses. The manufacturer has added the services of a shifter.
Here's the other special feature of the Black Edition: treats. Compared to the standard CB 1000 R, the Black Edition gets the aforementioned gearshift assistant, a matching seat cover and a small windscreen. This will only protect the speedo.
Basically, it's half the recipe Honda used to make the CB 1000 R+.

to Black or not to black, that is not the question for ze roadster. In either case, it's equipped with the same technology, with its single-bone steel frame, CBR 1000 RR engine (deflated), Showa SFF-BP fork and superb single-sided swingarm. The electronics include 4 riding modes, 3 power levels, traction control, engine braking management, automatic indicator shut-off, 4 display modes, voice interface for smartphone control, under-seat USB socket and LED lighting.
With it, you can present yourself in front of the bat-cave. Alfred will think the boss is back.
