presentation of the VR6 Snowdance 2016
With its out-of-this-world name and surprising motorization, the Horex roadster caused quite a stir when it came out. Just think: an almost wise and rigorous machine in its design, powered by a highly unusual 6-cylinder engine. This block, in VR layout, fits its entire world under a single cylinder head, exceeds 1,200 cm3 and delivers a good 160 horsepower.
the Horex VR6 has kept a low profile since its unveiling. But like some Italian machines, it loves special series. And selfish. This Snowdance version is not intended to make owners happy, but to impress the gallery. Created as a one-off for the Snowdance independent film festival in Landsberg (Germany), it was bound to be drenched in white with such a name. Saddle, frame, fork, cladding, mudguards, frame, engine, handlebars, amenities, foot controls, headlight cladding - everything comes under the governance of a snowy blanket. Some peripherals escape the wadding, the better to underline their top-of-the-range character. The German roadster is equipped with a pair of chromed Kineo spoked wheels, a 43 mm Öhlins inverted fork and TTX36 GP shock absorber from the same manufacturer, and Brembo GP4-RX aluminum brake calipers cut from solid aluminum... In short, nothing but the best.
the engine changes only in terms of cosmetics. Time has passed since its first "embiellades", and the discreet little technical evolutions since the beginning have gradually brought it up to 167.7 hp (125 kW). The machine is not particularly light (221 kilos), but that's still 18 kilos less than the original model. No matter. We won't be asking it to ride, but to pose, like a ready-made star.
