presentation of the VR6 Raw 2019
A stripped-down Horex, intent on going back to basics, to the raw state, to offer sensations worthy of its very special engine? Almost, but not quite. This Raw is the gateway to the German manufacturer's range, and also the sportiest, alongside the Classic and Café Racer. It's completely covered in black, like a panther lurking in the dead of night.
a wild beast with 163 horsepower! Although it doesn't feature much on the roads or in dialogues, the German roadster is a serious power customer. Its 6-cylinder engine, with a V-shape so tight that it requires only one cylinder head, with 3 valves per cylinder, is its greatest asset.
With its heart in the right place, Horex makes a few modifications to the chassis to give it a more dynamic feel. The Raw weighs 4 kilos less than the Classic model, is fitted with forged aluminum wheels with spokes instead of spokes, and gains a microfiber seat, new exhaust silencers and suspension tuned for this temperament.

the VR6's instrumentation is a large 7-inch TFT panel. It's modern, packed with information, and so classic in its presentation that you can feel the patina of luxury in the watermark. Rather petty, however, to have made connectivity and GPS navigation optional...
After all, machines marked with the crowned H are by no means affordable roadsters. This Raw boasts the most affordable price in the Horex catalog, yet it's the equivalent of a Ducati Superbike R version.
can you really call it sporty when a roadster starts at 220 kilos dry weight? The watts are there to compensate, but this version is more a demonstration of the sporting spirit than a realization of it. An aristocratic presentation of the motorcycle, with a strong cachet and rigor.
