the new TE 511 is the big cousin of the equally new TE 449. With a completely new block (and a larger bore than the TE 449), electronic fuel injection and a completely new chassis, Husqvarna sets new standards in the heaviest enduro category.

The new fuel injection system is from the renowned Keihin brand, and operates via a shutter housing fitted with a double butterfly valve. In addition to electronic fuel injection, you can now choose between two different mappings. One where all available power is released, and one for a more tempered ride, which is particularly interesting on slippery surfaces. The Husqvarna 511 does, however, have an advantage when it comes to traction. Thanks to the CTS (Coaxial Traction System), suspension operation is not subject to chain tension or engine propulsion. As a result, traction is more constant and better. Husqvarna eliminates the power variance caused by propulsion by combining the front sprocket on an axle that takes care of block propulsion and at the same time forms the pivot point of the swingarm. The upper swingarm is equipped with a link system that improves shock absorber performance and traction. By installing this system on the upper part of the swingarm, the wheelbase becomes longer and maintenance easier.

Kayaba suspension components, Brembo brakes and Excell rims are the hallmarks of a superior chassis. Of course, the new frame and swingarm also play a key role. What's more, Husqvarna only chooses top-quality components. The Akrapovic exhaust system guarantees noise levels within homologation standards, but the TE is also available with the Akrapovic Racing Exhaust, which is better suited to racing. The TE449 and 511 are the only enduro machines on the market to come standard with both Akrapovic E3 homologated and Akrapovic Racing Exhaust. Akrapovic and Kayaba are not the only renowned suppliers of the Husqvarna TE 511 2011. Brembo has also put in a good word for itself with a completely new front brake and hydraulic clutch system. In addition, there's centralized weight distribution. The TE 511 is equipped with a double fuel tank. The largest part - a 6.5-liter capacity - is fed from the rear of the seat and is located in the center of the bike. Underneath, lower down on the bike, there's a second section with a capacity of 2 liters, made of transparent plastic. This allows the rider to check the fuel reserve at any time. This system also offers a guarantee for the lower fuel pump. This is an advantage for fuel supply and for lowering the point of gravity. Regardless of the centralized point of gravity, Husqvarna has managed to limit the weight of the 511 to 113 kg, which is almost as much as the 449.
