Motorcycle specifications Indian1890 Springfield Special Edition 2025 The edge of its territory

The Springfield gradually became a separate model in the Indian range. Virtually all its bikes have undergone a facelift in favor of a more "modern" look. Yet this model retains, maintains and asserts its classic identity as a cosseted old bagger. With good reason: it exudes the America of cowboys, big cornfields and Plymouths keeping watch over cinema parking lots at night.
A crisp, last-run scent that reaches a new level with this Special Edition. Timeless and iconic with its typical skirted mudguards and full-length mass, the Springfield gives the impression of hugging the ground. A distinguished heaviness, in the image of the States of yesteryear, of its great works and its desire for greatness.
Authentic to the core
This limited-edition model is distinguished by its creamy ivory hue, topped with Indian's signature red - its signature color, dating back to 1904. A few metallic "Anniversary Gold" edgings wander across the surface, trying to catch a bit of light next to the numerous chromes.
Between the round cylinder heads, a special numbered bagde authenticates in its own way the rarity of this model. 50 examples will be produced, and not for everyone - for example, only one will be produced in the UK, and none in the USA. The few countries that will receive this Springfield with its powerful, creamy taste will enjoy this exclusivity as privileged people; but will get carried away by the strength of the twin like everyone else. Indian hasn't touched it up, just decorated it. A big block, American to the tip of the fins, letting the modern engines powering the FTR or Challenger / Pursuit fly into the present. Here, the Thunderstroke 116's fat, raucous sound and up to 17.4 mkg of torque are the order of the day.
In addition to two-tone paint, the Special Edition boasts havana-brown leather upholstery with bangs, and a sissy bar as standard. There will be no additional refinements: the standard Springfield already offers a few: keyless start, cruise control, adjustable pilot and passenger footrests, tool-free windscreen, USB socket, three Driving Modes, automatic deactivation of the rear cylinder, front and rear crash-bars, central locking, and tire pressure monitoring.
Indian states that " This will be the last opportunity to purchase the iconic Indian Springfield in selected European markets". It's quite possible that this bike will evolve for the next vintage, abandoning its mid-twentieth-century charm for a trendier style. Time marches on, and so does Indian.
