presentation of the 1250 Sport Scout RT 2026
The Scout family has become the most prolific in the range. It comes in all shapes and sizes, worse than Harley. It's only in the Tourer sector that it doesn't venture, leaving the road and its vessels(Roadmaster, Pursuit, Challenger, Chieftain) to place their enormous masses and gargantuan engines on the long tarmac.
Although... Some models don't mind taking a few things along for the evening or the weekend. The Scout often watches the Sport Chief RT take a little gear out for a spin. So it's decided to do exactly the same.
How do you do it? By taking a Sport Scout and nicking the Chief's little suitcases. Two body-colored flower boxes to fit a pair of pants, three sandwiches and a pair of boots. With a total of 37 liters for the pocket duo, you can't take on much gear. By way of comparison, a Honda NT 1100 offers the same capacity... in just one of its panniers.
But the purpose of the RT is absolutely not to offer touring-style space. No, it's all about keeping a few things out of harm's way, and maintaining a grungy, dynamic style.
Just suitcases? Yes, that's enough. With the Sport Scout's equipment, it already has a small fork head, provocatively styled handlebar risers, the rugged silhouette of a bobber and a patient attitude to match. It also presents itself as a sportier alternative to the Super Scout, smoother and more vintage, and less expensive than the Chief - for those more interested in Club Style than a big engine.

Yet the twin is no small engine. At 1250 cm3, it's already a fine pair of cylinders. But in the custom world, that's mid-size. A Big Block starts at around 1.8 liters today. Introduced last year with much pride and power ranging from 105 to 111 hp depending on the model, the SpeedPlus puts its grunt away in 2026, except on the Scout 101. The Sport Scout RT is entitled to 94 hp, as are virtually all its siblings (this is not the case in the USA). This makes it compatible with A2 licenses. Torque has been preserved, boasting 11 mkg.
A Sport Scout with pockets... and a bit more
Some Scouts are offered either scandalously bare-bones, or enriched by a higher trim level. The Sport Scout RT is only available with the "Limited" badge on its flanks, indicating an increase in equipment and the higher price that goes with it.
This mainly concerns electronics: a circular 4-inch color TFT screen, Ride Command interface for a whole host of functions including GPS navigator, traction control, cruise control, 3 driving modes, USB socket, Bluetooth and keyless start. However, you'll need one to unlock the saddlebags.
This RT version is 9 ks heavier than the Sport Scout. It also has more elaborate graphics, painted mudguards and fork head, rims with machined spokes on the edges, and high-mounted mirrors. In the end, it's not just about suitcases; there's also a hint of vanity.
