In the Indian range, the Scout may look like the first model, especially the Sixty version, but it's already a beautiful machine. Half-custom, half-cruiser, long and almost athletic, it's also the one that took the manufacturer into the liquid-cooled engine dimension.
The "Scout" name is above all a story that goes back a century. In 1919, at a time when there were 10 times as many motorcycle brands as there were nations, Indian presented what was to become its most important model until the middle of the 20th century. Marketed immediately afterwards as a vintage 1920 model, this motorcycle stood the test of time, disappearing from the shops for a handful of decades, then finding a new lease of life with an 1133 cm3 twin. This year, its 100th anniversary is celebrated with this special edition. Not loudly and proudly, but with a special medallion placed in the center of the 94 hp engine.
This badge marks the occasion, then the Scout pays tribute with a series of specific elements. A single color will be available, Indian red, embellished with gold trim. The bike takes up the stylistic codes of the model of yesteryear to establish a temporal bridge. Beyond the decoration, the support for history and difference is reflected in spoked wheels, a floating "Desert Tan" leather seat, a luggage rack, chrome finishes and handlebars reinforced with a crossbar. This 100th Anniversary Indian Scout is a nostalgic model that will be eagerly sought after: 750 units will be sold worldwide.
