kawa's muscular custom takes advantage of the 2004 model year to pump up its biceps. Displacement increases from 1470 to 1552 cm3. Perhaps more power, but also more torque for more thrills. Apart from the flashy colors, reinforced swingarm and modified seat, the rest of the machine remains unchanged. It retains its inverted fork and huge brakes. But how will this new 1600 measure up against the new VN 2000 from the same manufacturer?

As a Kawasaki rider, the VN 1600 Mean Streak is one of my passion bikes, along with the ZRX 1200, the ZX-12R and the ZZR 1200.

Riding a Mean Streak, be it a 1500 or a 1600, is undoubtedly a different kind of riding.

My first 1100 kms on a Mean streak are done = 1st overhaul and fitting of accessories, this bike is fantastic I think they designed it for me (1.7O meters: 85 kilos), I love its riding position (perfect seat height and handlebars), its torque, its surprising roadholding (equipped with 17" rims and original low-profile tires), its remarkable agility, its noise and above all the pleasure you get from riding it, what a giant foot! it's a real cruiser like only Kawasaki can make, with an average fuel consumption of : 6 liters >> 100 kms >>3500T MAX >>130 kms/h (running-in required), but >>> BE CAREFUL in tight bends and roundabouts, it's hot, custom required
