presentation of the 350 SX-F 2027
The 350 SX-F is poised to be the most effective motocross bike in the lineup for the majority of riders. Only highly experienced riders will be able to unlock the full potential of the 450. Nearly as powerful and incredibly responsive, the 3.5 is a weapon of choice.
Total Control
The KTM SX and SX-F models feature revised frame updates, developed with the expertise of KTM Factory Racing. The area around the rear shock mount has been optimized, with engine mounts and cutouts that improve chassis flexibility. Up front, the frame features optimized wall thickness with updated engine mounts.
Launch Control and Quickshifter
Designed for the holeshot, the KTM SX-F lineup comes standard with launch control and a Quickshifter, which allows for quick gear changes without using the clutch. Launch control limits power to the rear wheel, improving traction and preventing loss of control during hard acceleration. To activate it, simply press the traction control and Quickshifter buttons simultaneously. The Quickshifter allows you to shift from 2nd to 5th gear in a flash to take the lead into the first corner.
Selectable Rides + Traction Control
The map selector on KTM SX-F models features a simple design, making it easy to switch between maps. Mode 1 delivers a more linear power delivery, while Mode 2 offers greater explosiveness. Pressing the same switch activates traction control to enhance traction and make a difference on wet or muddy terrain.
Instant Power
Perfectly bridging the gap between the KTM 250 SX-F and the powerful KTM 450 SX-F, the lightweight engine of the KTM 350 SX-F weighs just 27.5 kg. This makes it the ultimate weapon and the easiest choice for power-to-weight ratios.
Simplified suspension adjustment
As always, the suspension is easy to adjust tool-free at both ends, allowing riders to aim for the podium with complete control. At the rear, a dual hand-adjustable compression option lets riders fine-tune high- and low-speed settings in seconds. The front forks are also easily adjustable thanks to hand-adjustable ratchets on the bottom of the fork leg and on the top cap.
Air Filter Housing
Thanks to strategically positioned intake ducts, the air filter housing reduces distortion, enhances filter protection, and ensures optimal airflow. Thanks to the foolproof mounting system for the Twin Air filter and air filter bracket, installing this component is surprisingly simple. The air filter is easily accessible without tools by removing the left side panel. An air filter box access panel is also included in the supplied parts for all SX and SX-F models.
Ease of Maintenance
The KTM SX and SX-F range is designed to provide riders with easy access to replacement parts, as well as suspension adjustment. This speeds up track-side and off-season maintenance, and simplifies motocross for novice riders who don’t have a pit crew.
Ergonomics
The two-component plastic tank guards channel air to the radiators more efficiently, while a compact fuel tank roll allows for a tighter, more secure fit, reducing the risk of frame rubbing and significantly improving durability. All of this works in tandem with the rider triangle, which is specially designed to provide unmatched grip and knee contact surfaces, particularly when standing on the footpegs.
Performance
The KTM SX-F’s engine is raked 2° backward, which significantly improves weight distribution and reduces overall weight, benefiting handling and anti-squat performance. Combined with the map selector, the muffler enhances responsiveness and slightly reduces exhaust noise.
WP XACT Fork
The 48 mm WP XACT AER forks fitted to the KTM SX and SX-F models feature a sealed air spring and a pressurized oil chamber for progressive and consistent damping, while oil and air bypasses reduce pressure spikes. Combined with the floating-piston damping system, it ensures excellent feedback and remarkable comfort. The fork also features adjustments that not only complement the frame and rear linkage but also guarantee exceptional performance across the board. It can be easily adjusted for preload using a simple air valve, as well as for compression and rebound via the easily accessible adjustment knobs. Additionally, the WP air pump required to adjust the fork pressure is included as standard in the buy-pack.
WP XACT Shock Absorber
At the rear, the WP XACT shock absorber uses settings directly derived from the KTM Factory Racing teams. The frame and shock geometry provides increased ground clearance at the swingarm pivot, reducing the risk of bottoming out. Smaller-diameter swingarm pivot pins save weight, while swingarm seals improve shock response and advanced damping characteristics. Proper adjustment is recommended for optimal performance.
Stability
The KTM Motocross range is equipped with a special rear brake pedal that adds stiffness, flex resistance, and braking feel to the assembly. At the other end, a forged steering head and a CNC-machined fork crown ensure perfect alignment of the fork tubes. This precise geometry of the fork clamps ensures high responsiveness and smooth fork action, not to mention unwavering stability when riding through ruts and on the podium.
Tires
Dirt and performance rarely go hand in hand. However, hours of research and testing have led the KTM Motocross range to the Dunlop GEOMAX MX34. Offering unmatched stability and control at the highest level, the tire features a rigid casing and a rubber compound that improves damping and absorption, maintaining performance up to 30% longer than previous models. Progressive Cornering Block technology also improves grip in berms, while the rear tire features a wide, tall center block for desirable traction and control everywhere else. Finally, this unique block layout helps disperse mud buildup, ensuring traction even in very muddy conditions.
Offroad Connectivity Unit
Available as a KTM PowerPart on the KTM SX-F range, the Offroad Connectivity Unit (or CUO) offers a wide range of features and adjustment options via the KTMconnect app. The CUO provides a new riding experience, allows you to modify engine behavior, and even offers optimized suspension settings based on individual preferences and riding conditions. Take it to the next level!
Ground Clearance
No one likes unexpected crashes. Fortunately, the shock absorber geometry on the KTM SX and SX-F models provides ample ground clearance for the linkage, and the topologically optimized die-cast footpegs are less likely to snag in deep ruts or lift off during jumps.
Smoother Handling
Opt for a durable chain guide and chain guard to minimize the risk of snagging on external objects—especially in extremely muddy conditions—while limiting dirt buildup around the swingarm and rear sprocket. Modified mounting points and a redesigned wiring harness route make the system less prone to wear and damage.
Energy Absorption
In addition to the hydroformed, laser-cut, and robot-welded frame—designed to provide exceptional rider feedback and straight-line stability—the chassis features specifically calculated longitudinal flex and torsional parameters. The frame thus acts as a shock absorber, resulting in a smoother ride and reduced fatigue over the course of the race.
