presentation of the 350 EXC-F Six Days 2013
the 350 EXC-F "READY TO RACE" for the world's biggest enduro championship, the International Six Days Enduro. Six days in a row, over a thousand kilometers of terrain, 40 hours in the saddle: that's not just a challenge for the rider. The 2013 KTM 350 EXC-F can be prepared with a whole range of top-of-the-range accessories for this exceptionally tough race, at the start of which, every year, half the riders bet on KTM. The 350 EXC-F Six Days: the only authentic one, with the orange frame of the factory KTM Team.
engine
The dimensions and weight of the KTM 350 engine are almost identical to those of the 250, but its superior performance is due to the maximum reduction in moving masses. The power delivered from low revs right up to the breaker would bring a tear of joy to the eye of any enduro rider, whether pro or novice! Torque like that can't help but move you.
engine management
Keihin's EMS represents the ultimate. With electronic fuel injection and 42 mm throttle openings, it ensures spontaneous, powerful responsiveness and driveability. Automatic temperature and altitude compensation are also integrated. With the optional Map-Select-Switch (PowerParts), you can easily select different engine characteristics. Thanks to the User-Setting-Tool in the PowerParts program, you can individually modify and adjust the EFI mapping of the KTM 350 EXC?F Six Days via a laptop. This ensures maximum performance in every situation.
lightweight crankcase
Lighter: die-cast crankcase instead of sand! A significant reduction in wall thickness, without compromising stability. The result is a lighter engine and improved handling. A special high-strength aluminum alloy ensures maximum resistance to damage.
valve timing
The DOHC cylinder head features four ultra-light titanium valves. Combined with rocker arms weighing just 8g and coated with DLC (Diamond Like Carbon), they enable maximum revs of up to 12,000 rpm. Compared with the SX-F engine, the camshafts are less power-oriented, focusing instead on a wide, enduro-specific rpm range.
frame
The lightweight frame of the 350 EXC-F Six Days 2013, made of high-quality chrome-molybdenum steel, is distinguished by its high torsional rigidity. It also absorbs the impact of the suspension remarkably well, further enhancing the handling and comfort of the KTM 350 EXC-F Six Days.
new DDS clutch
The new DDS (Damped Diaphragm Steel) clutch: the clutch housing with timing gear is machined from a single piece of high-strength steel. The result is unbeatable reliability. It also allows the use of thinner steel plates. The result is an extremely compact design and a slimmer motor. An elastic washer enables additional hub damping - an invaluable advantage in terms of traction and gearbox durability. The Brembo hydraulic clutch and spring washer ensure easy, controllable progressiveness.
individual suspension adjustment
Each model features an individual suspension setting, perfectly matched to weight and engine. at the rear, a WP Suspension PDS shock absorber with direct connection above the swingarm. A wide range of fork rebound damping settings, as well as Highspeed and Lowspeed compression damping, come as standard with KTM.
fork
KTM Six Days models benefit from a completely new 48 mm (1.89 in) Closed Cartridge fork from WP Suspension. This new patented 4-chamber WP technology (4CS) not only offers decisive advantages in terms of response and damping consistency, but is also lighter and much easier to maintain than conventional closed cartridge models. This fork will tackle the most insane trails and obstacles with ease. Another advantage: with just a few clicks, you can easily adapt the fork to the track and the rider, right at the top of the fork: compression on the left side, rebound on the right.
fork tee
All Six Days models feature one-piece milled fork crowns, finished to the highest standards. Not only do they look remarkable with their orange anodizing, but they are also designed to optimize the response and damping regularity of the new fork, for a final influence on the bike's entire behavior.
high-quality wheels
High-quality CNC-machined hubs as standard on all KTM wheels. GIANT's new aluminum wheels, made from extremely robust 7050 aluminum, now feature the exclusive 6 Days logo. New MAXXIS FIM tires specially designed for KTM provide excellent grip, precise handling and long life.
trim
The KTM 350 EXC?F Six Days features an ergonomically slim fairing with excellent contact points between rider and machine. It offers unlimited freedom of movement. The 2013 model features new graphics in the colors of Germany's ISDE.
handlebars
The 2013 models feature tapered handlebars made from extremely strong Neken aluminum. For the 2013 model year, new bi-component grips with KTM logo ensure excellent feel and better grip.
