presentation of the TTS 800 1999
Laverda's TTS 800 is a trail bike. As the 2000s approached, Laverda turned its attention to other segments, tapping into the new craze for large trail bikes. Halfway between a TDM and a Varadero, the TTS 800 is more of a road devourer than a machine suited to trails or stony terrain. The bodywork is imposing, and protection seems to be a major concern for this bike, which is far removed from the Italian manufacturer's usual products. The engine is a twin-cylinder, whose displacement has been increased to 800 cm3 to provide adequate torque for a touring vocation, a synthesis of sport and touring. The sporty front end features an inverted fork and two large brake discs. Unfortunately, the TTS 800 never made it beyond the prototype stage.
