The CBR 900 RR Fireblade arrived in 1992 like a tornado in the world of sports bikes. Before it, the big missile category had been split between the Superbike-oriented 750s and the heavy, powerful 1000/1100s. With its minimal weight and good power, the Fireblade is a real slap in the face. We had to wait for the R1 and then the GSX-R 1000 to oust the Honda. After 2000, Suzuki took over with the big Gex. The CBR is totally redesigned to regain ground. The CBR 1000 RR is Honda's answer to the dominance of the GSX-R 1000. It replaces the 900 CBR with a much more track-oriented look and the VTR SP-2. Now a pure pistarde, it has become one of the most powerful motorcycles on the market.
