Motorcycle specifications HondaCBR 900 RR FIREBLADE 2000 End blades

shaken up by the R1 and threatened by the recent ZX-9R, the 900 CBR is getting a complete overhaul to return to the top of the hypersports hierarchy. And Honda hasn't done things by halves. New, tauter, more aggressive design, new 4-cylinder engine, new chassis with quality components. Beneath the new, menacingly smiling headlamp unit, an inverted fork makes its appearance, the wheel size has been upgraded to the standard 17", and braking is provided by 2 huge 330 mm diameter discs. At the rear, the swingarm is worthy of a GP machine. Particularly imposing, it is no longer anchored to the frame but to the engine casings. This brings it closer to the gearbox output pinion and improves traction. The new engine is smaller and lighter, with an output of 929 cm3 (10.5 more than before) and 153 horsepower. It also benefits from the latest technological refinements: PGM-FI injection and an exhaust valve to improve torque.
Renowned for its user-friendly, ultra-efficient sports car qualities on the road, the Fireblade was a heavyweight on the racetrack. Today, Honda is determined to return to the forefront. The bike has been radicalized to become a track beast. Lightened to the max (199 kg wet weight), refined and ready to attack, the CBR remains true to the philosophy of its lineage, "Total Control". The rider sits further forward on the new 900, can better squeeze the machine between the legs, but still finds Honda's welcoming qualities. Pleasant controls, excellent ergonomics, smooth, velvety engine... which delivers its power with gusto but without overpowering you. Less impressive than the R1's (very) torquey block, the 929 is particularly alert yet progressive. Honda's good education can be felt in the pistons, and works wonders on open roads. It does, however, lack the madness that intoxicates Yam tamers.
where the new CBR is fantastic is in its handling. The chassis is more than a tool, it's a saber. A blade that never deviates from its trajectory, even when the road surface is indisposed. The suspension is perfectly tuned to both "feel" the road and attack with complete peace of mind. The chassis is lively and rigid, just about ideal. And when it's time to stop, the discs glue the bike to the pavement.
Ultra-efficient, the CBR 900 retains its homogeneity on the road. In the face of the competition, its radical options keep its head held high - not the rider, who has to contend with recessed protection. At high speeds, getting out of the bubble is perilous. The price, too, has reached the pinnacle of its pretensions. But a hypersport of this talent deserves a few sacrifices.

I bought this bike 4 months ago and it has 41000 km,
Originally blue white red, I put it in repsol, simply beautiful! Small line yoshimura, debridage full! Dyno tuned to 157 hp! She runs very hard, handles very well, a real pleasure! Less brusque than the r1 or the Gsxr, it's still a true sports car that deserves to be driven with love and delicacy, very reliable and very precise, it does drag a little on the track... In short, it's a monster that shouldn't be entrusted to just anyone! She's already 12 years old, but I hope to make another 12!
Sincerely, the crazy biker from Rueil Malmaison! Rating : 5/5 Respond to Stoony92
IT HAS 49,000 KLM ON THE ODOMETER AND DESPITE EVERYTHING IT'S STILL GOING STRONG IT'S A COMFORTABLE MACHINE FOR A SPORTS BIKE, VERY LIVELY AND FULL OF LIFE (NOT TO BE LEFT IN THE HANDS OF A YOUNG RIDER) IT'S TRUE THAT IT'S DIFFICULT TO KNOW THE REAL NUMBER OF HORSEPOWER BUT WHAT'S THE POINT IN THE END?
THE TORQUE IS IMPRESSIVE, EVEN TODAY WHEN YOU CONSIDER THE BEASTS THAT HANG AROUND MOTORCYCLE SHOWS. BON ROUTE
