presentation of the 750 BREVA 2004
with the Breva, Guzzi finally enters the new century, while preserving its distinctive charm. First and foremost, the engine. Still a tumbled V-twin, a 750 cc taken from the Nevada but thoroughly reworked. It develops 46 hp without any fuss. Not much, some may think, but the Breva is a motorcycle to be appreciated for the suppleness and distinctive character of its twin-cylinder engine. The gearbox may be slow, but it shines in its smoothness and lock-up. Easy to handle, the little Guzzi offers a pleasant riding position, simple, easy-to-read meters and, don't forget, electronic trips with clock and outside temperature. Not only is it the least expensive of the gimbaled motorcycles, but the Guzzi allows itself to be ridden with unbridled charm. In addition to being an affordable "always-on" motorcycle, the Breva is catalyzed and already complies with Euro 2 standards. This will enable it to stand out in a niche where many models will disappear as a result of the fight against pollution. Handy and light, with comfortable but limited suspension, the little Guzzi is a delight to ride. As for braking, its single front disc is more than sufficient, backed up by a progressive rear. The Breva shows itself in an excellent light - simple and not sad, it brings a bit of freshness, a little taste of Italy that makes it very endearing.

So it doesn't bend, it heats up the legs (especially as I'm 1m90 tall, the v-shaped cylinders facing the road love my knees)...but in the morning, when you start up, it's a Guzzi, not a faded CB500 or a virulent MT-07, but one that you come across at every traffic circle. It costs nothing, between 1000 and 1500 euros. From my 1m90 to my wife's 1m60, all sizes fit nicely on it. It needs a few more horses, and even then, it's enough to ride around or to get a feel for it... beware of A2 license holders, at 1 horsepower it won't fit! you'll have to go to Guzzi, which will take it down to 35/40 horsepower.
In short, I have a F900R 2024, but the Guzzi stays with me. It's a collector's item, costing 10 francs a month to insure, and only enough to maintain (although it's monitored by Guzzi). Try it, you'll see :) Rating : 4/5 Respond to Dav1974
Do you have any good or bad comments on this bike, or any information on mechanics and maintenance? Thank you Rating : 5/5 Respond to Cbr73
We rode it three times in Corsica, Provence, the Spanish Pyrenees, the Massi Central, the Verdon, the Alps and the Vercors ....
just changed the rear shock absorbers, the comfort of the saddle (after the Deauville, Madame didn't think it was great!) and it's been a real pleasure, except on the freeway...
we're keeping it, and intend to make it cover a few thousand more kms. Rating : 4/5 Respond to YOYO
Rear suspension could be less stiff and more damped, for longer distances. Rating : 5/5 Respond to Patrick 14
