Motorcycle description sheet MV-Agusta800 Dragster RR Ottantesimo 2025 Beastly evening
The MV-Agusta Dragster is a sort of fusion of the Canal+ of the '80s and Fun Radio of the heyday. The money years, the chic years, agitated in a Sex, Fun, Rock temperament. All brought together in a bubbling 3-cylinder and a punk-acid-house silhouette. A more than brutal visual shock, combined with one hell of a temperament.
Like five other MV-Agusta models, the Dragster 800 RR pays homage to the brand's 80th anniversary. To mark the occasion, it comes in an elegant black and silver color scheme. It takes advantage of the occasion to further assert its singularity, being the only one to be dressed in a tuxedo.
Classy, elegant, with a golden MV logo as bow tie. The design department has given it a vintage touch, in keeping with the commemorative spirit.
A specialist in limited series(more than fifty since the brand's rebirth with its 1999 F4), MV will produce 500 examples of this Ottantesimo Dragster. The serial number and total equipment are marked on a plate attached to the tank, just above the seat. The correct way to pronounce MV and the name of the collection are also inscribed.
A certificate of authenticity completes the picture. Would you like to add a little trinket to start the vintage off right? Well, we can already count on the engine being adapted to Euro5+. Without affecting performance - the 801 cm3 three-stroke with counter-rotating crankshaft retains its 140 hp. Should we add the new, smoother clutch? No, no need. This Dragster is an SCS version, i.e. equipped with the Rekluse system that "automates" the clutch. The lever is still there, but it's no longer of much use. With the added bonus of a shifter, the drivetrain is like a semi-automatic manual gearbox.
Small, compact and provocative, the Dragster is also an electronics junkie, like all 3-cylinder machines. It features a 6-axis inertial platform that manages four riding modes: Rain, Sport, Race and Custom(allowing the rider to adjust parameters such as throttle sensitivity, engine torque, engine braking, engine response and rev limiter). Traction control is adjustable on eight levels: 2 Rain, 3 Road, 3 Track. The dashboard features a 5.5-inch color TFT screen, ideal for interacting with the MV Ride app, which, among other functions, lets you save and share routes, customize the bike's configuration directly from your smartphone, and activate turn-by-turn navigation.
the electronics package is completed by ABS with two operating modes (Sport and Race) and a cornering function. In Sport mode, ABS is active front and rear, cornering is activated and the RLM (Rear Wheel Lift-Up Mitigation) function is active. In Race mode, ABS is active at the front only, cornering is deactivated and the RLM function is set to be less intrusive. Finally, the equipment includes Launch Control and Front Lift Control (FLC), which, depending on angular speed, manages the height of the front wheel during wheelies, offering maximum acceleration with safety and precision. The Dragster is also equipped with Cruise Control.
All that's left is to find the suit that goes with it.
