presentation of the MV Agusta F4 Brutale Serie Oro 2002
when MV-Agusta emerged from its glorious past, it was to present the 21st century with an exceptional sports car. A sublime silhouette, a backside to die for, instant prestige: the F4 was born and remains irreproachable. So when the Varese-based brand entered the world of roadsters, it did so in just one way: Brutale!
A name... much more than that: a spirit, a character, a design. This roadster is the work of a master, Signore Tamburini. Powerful, aggressive, biting, bewitching - you name it, it's got it. It has what it takes to attract envy and respect today, tomorrow, in 10 years' time, and perhaps always. Admire the headlight, clearly inspired by the most famous of Porsches. Drool over those magnesium wheels. A material that is part of the identity of this ORO series. The swingarm is made from this noble element, as are the plates anchored to the trellis frame and the large-section lower fork crown. this saves 6 kilos compared to a standard Brutale.
The two bevelled exhaust pipes are beautiful, belligerent and, incredibly, stylish enough to make us forget the F4's quadruple outlet. In all objectivity, there's nothing to throw away or change about this machine.
For an Italian, the choice of a 4-cylinder engine is almost disconcerting. But this boiler, derived from the sporty F4, has character to spare. It develops almost as much horsepower, but a different airbox, revised camshafts and new engine management improve mid-range filling. Shortened gear ratios and a tighter 6th gear further optimize punch.
A few carbon parts, a tobacco-colored leather seat, aluminum disc frets, a special titanium nitride treatment for the fork tubes (50 mm in diameter) and a single color. Just enough to ensure a little more exclusivity and luxury for this simply exceptional roadster. The engine, the finish, the choice of parts, the visual and mechanical expression... everything wins you over. Except fuel consumption and price. If its presence or its song aren't enough, a gold plate engraved with its limited series number and the owner's name completes the captivation. only 300 examples, all destined for a wealthy and demanding clientele.
