presentation of the Superveloce 800 Oro 2020
It was an immediate success, even before its presentation. The Superveloce 800 Oro follows directly on from the concept bike, from which it borrows almost all the elements. An irresistible temptation, this neo-retro sports bike with a particularly successful pencil stroke.
When the factory unveiled the Superveloce prototype, it was so perfected that a rapid production launch was more than assured. Basically, all you had to do was add some blinkers and a license plate, and you'd be on your way. MV-Agusta kept the superb, charming silhouette, changed the minimum to make the bike street-legal, opted for beautiful hardware to justify the ORO name, and now offers this beautiful sports bike.
Derived from the F3 800... Frame and engine are identical. A good way to develop a bike quickly, and to be sure of the manufacturer's performance. Fortunately, the styling work shows little of this, and the Superveloce develops a personality all its own.
Its luminous porthole catches the eye, suggesting that the eye caress its sides, carved from precious inspiration. The rear section is a pure delight, with a perforated alcantara saddle to great effect. Immediately afterwards, the stern ends in a mischievous circular headlight. Even the exhausts are vintage. This production version had to do without the retro yellow bubble and headlight. A shame, really. But homologation wouldn't have appreciated it.

First of all, while the base model makes do with spoked wheels, the premium version is equipped with the superb spoked wheels (those unveiled on the proto). Next, the aluminum frame plates and swingarm are gold-plated, the mufflers are specific to the Superveloce std, while the F3's side triple is fitted, the fuel tank is crossed by a leather strap housing a CNC-machined filler cap, and a number of parts are in carbon - the fairing side panels, mudguards, wheel arch, bubble support, chain guards, shoe, air intake ducts, belt covers and more.
The 800 Superveloce takes its electronics from two siblings. Its instrumentation comes from the new 1000 Brutale. It features a 5-inch TFT color screen and Bluetooth connectivity. You can pair your phone to manage calls, messages and music via the MV Ride App. It also lets you adjust riding assistance settings directly from your smartphone. A GPS module is also on board.
As the bike is derived from the F3 800, it logically features 8-level traction control, an Up&Down shifter, ABS with rear-wheel lift protection and four riding modes, one of which can be customized.

It's also a typical chassis, with aluminum plates fixed to a tubular steel trellis. Here too, the components come from the F3, with a 43 mm inverted fork and 4-piston monobloc radial brake calipers biting 320 mm tracks. However, not everything is identical. The bike's front and rear subframes are specific to it, the rear shock absorber is different, and the riding position has been revised to offer more comfort to this lady of the beautiful evenings. As befits a motorcycle, the suspension is fully adjustable.
As a mechanical desire and visual fantasy, the Superveloce 800 Oro also knows how to provoke craving. 300 units will be built. MV-Agusta will also supply a protective cover, a DID Gold drivetrain, cruise control and a locator. It's reassuring to be able to track down a thug who might be disrespectful. Approaching is a trap, because the Superveloce will soon get hold of your impulses.
