A viral video shows a young prodigy at the wheel of a Lamborghini Revuelto, arousing both astonishment and admiration. And it's certainly no coincidence...
Zayn Sofuoğlu: the promising heir to Kenan the Terrible
For those in the know, his name may sound familiar. At just 5 years of age, Zayn Sofuoğlu, son of five-time world motorcycle champion Kenan Sofuoğlu, is already causing a sensation aboard a Lamborghini Revuelto! Equipped with a 1,015 hp V12 and three electric motors, it can reach 350 km/h and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds. This impressive performance didn't faze the youngster, who reached a staggering 312 km/h on an airstrip.
The vehicle, specially modified to allow Zayn to manipulate the pedals, is already reminiscent of his past exploits, notably when he drove a Ferrari SF90 Stradale or took to the handlebars of the Honda Gold Wing two years ago.
Sofuoğlu, good genes?
With his new status as “the fastest kid in the world”, Zayn Sofuoğlu looks set to follow in his father's footsteps. Although it's still too early to predict Zayn's future in motorsport, the parallels with his father are inevitable. Kenan Sofuoğlu is a true Supersport legend with five world titles to his name. Despite mixed stints in Superbike in 2008 and Moto2 between 2010 and 2011, it was in Supersport that Kenan found his greatest success. Since retiring from racing in 2018 at the age of 34, he has kept a close eye on his son's progress as co-driver, regularly sharing his exploits on Instagram, where Zayn already has millions of fans.
If passion and talent are hereditary, the Sofuoğlu name could well continue to shine on circuits the world over.
